Bar keepers friend and blue scotch pads gets them clean. Then I use dawn dish soap and a stiff bristle toothbrush for the diamond rods and make sure they get dry and maybe even a little oil because they will rust.

I've been wanting to purchase a Sharpmaker but I'm a bit hesitant to start my sharpening journey with one of my beloved Spydies.

I was thinking about ordering a Tenacious or Persistance along with the Sharpmaker and using that as my "learner" knife ...

So I picked up my first Sharpmaker along with some ultrafine rods and all I can say is WOW! I have used some sharpening systems in the past and this blows them all away. After some strokes on the ultra fine rods you get a mirror finish that is scary sharp. I honestly had no idea what "sharp" meant ...

I ended up getting the izula today. They are all on the list to get it really just comes down to which order I get them in :D .

So I'm going to pick up my spyderco sharpmaker along with the ultrafine rods and I'm thinking of picking up another knife, and I need help deciding. So I've narrowed down to:

Bradley Kimura 5-7 Clip point blade

Is the Golden Colorado Earth stamp a sense of humor on the part of spyderco or are they really being that specific? I have been taking it as a sense of humor but am somewhat confused.

Ok so I literally just did this to my para2 and I first took the burs of the clip screw holes on the inside of the liners and reassembled with no effect. I then took it apart again and took off the burr on the blade pivot hole. I reassembled it and to my surprise it was silky smooth. So if you plan ...
