On another forum that sells knives, (bf), someone is/was selling a user Ladybug in H1 steel. They wrote and I quote, "I carried it multiple times in the ocean as back-up. The "1" on the H1 marking has rusted a little bit, which is normal with the salts." I didn't think H-1 steel ...

Try using Jasco professional strength epoxy and paint remover.
Also, not a bad video on polishing (or satin finish) the clip once stripped.

I have had that done to me! I also had a Delica that I took out of the box for a picture so I could use the exact picture and posted it for sale but once the guy received the knife he said it wasnt what he wanted and pissed and moaned about it.
