I need a dive knife and I really want the caspian salt, but it is impossible to find right now. Also, is there any news on new spyderco fixed H1 blades coming in the future? Both the caspians and aquas are out of production.

this knife would be perfect for me, too bad it's only available through spyderco. Can't afford the $130 + shipping, plus customs to get it into Canada, plus the taxes. Oh well, hopefully they make it less exclusive so I can get it

thanks for the replies. i think I'll go for the tasman. The ladybugs are only good for EDC and I think that the only knife I could get away with in high school would be a bug on a keychain. The tasman will also be useful at my landscaping job

My first was a delica 4 which I love. Want to get a second now. I'm looking at a $60 tasman salt, a $40 green zdp ladybug, or a $30 h1 hawkbill ladybug. I'd use a H1 for skin diving. really want the ZDP one but it's hard to find. Only one on ebay, and it's in the states. Don't want to pay the duties @ the border to get it into Toronto

I've only got one too, a blue delica 4. Looking at the sage 3, dragonfly 2, tasman salt se, and aqua salt. Can't decide on which one!

how good are hawkbills at slicing food? Would one be good for food prep. (slicing onions and peppers) on a canoe trip?

how good are hawkbillls at food prep? Do they slice onions, peppers, tomatoes, etc. ? On canoe trips thats the main use of a knife. I'm thinking of getting either a sage 3, tasman salt se, or a aqua salt se for diving and canoe trips. Sage wouldn't get much use though but it's awesome. Help?
