Re: Lower Back Pain

Strengthening your core is definitely key to dealing with lower back pain. Another huge thing is stretching, which helps with all kinds of pain. Men especially neglect stretching as part of their exercise routines, but it really can make a huge difference in how you feel overall. I do a 30 minute y...

Re: Is the Gayle Bradley coming back?

It is still listed as “in-production” in the 2021 Product Guide. https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/ Judging by the erratic availability over the last few years, it appears that small runs are made every now and again according to demand. My guess is you’ll probably find one eventually if you keep loo...

Re: Military fully serrated SpyderEdge™

I have one listed on Spyderco Swap... :) I just read the requirements to join the swap. I don’t have enough posts to join unfortunately. I have been around a while but don’t post very often. Sorry to hear that Kells45. It is worth it to get the post count up to join the swap... Quite a few interest...

For what it’s worth, I remember it was said that Willey Knives can grind Spyderco serrations.

Re: Differences between Cruwear and 4V?

JophnDoe99 obviously knows what he's talking about. He is spot-on correct. Steels fit into "classes" and steels within the same class are so similar they are always hard to distinguish from one another. We steel geeks enjoy knowing the nuance variations within them but for all practical purposes st...

Re: The one that got away

I postponed getting a Gayle Bradley 2 folder, and now that I am looking for one I cannot find any in stock. In theory, they are still “in production” according to the latest calalogue, but who knows when, if ever, another run will see the light of day. Another regret is a pass on a Caly 3 Damascus ...

Re: Native Chief first and ongoing impressions thread

So here are the mods I performed on my Chief Looks good Cambertree... I like my thin edges, but I am not quite adventurous enough to thin out an already thin tip like that! At least not on S90V. You’re definitely going to test the capabilities of the steel... ;) I will most probably chamfer the CF ...

Re: Native Chief first and ongoing impressions thread

It is quite fantastic to have a Native with a handle that fits my hand comfortably, and with a generous sized blade!

It is like upgrading from a hatchback to a family sedan. So much space...

Re: Does anyone here ride motorcycles?!?

Nice ride! I prefer red... ;) 2017 Honda Africa Twin here, 21000km so far. This is my weekend machine to explore the forests and mountains of SE Australia. I love this thing! Nice! Great pics! A good friend of mine has a red one just like yours but I think it is a 2016. I love it. We have more dirt...

I’m a software engineer in Fintech, based in Melbourne.

I was born and raised in South Africa, but now live in regional Victoria for the last 4 years.

No knives allowed in public here, so I enjoy them at home. Fortunately I am working from home a lot these days!

Re: Are Military's done?

I’d say it is worth trying out a plain old G10 Military (in a fancy steel)... I love both hybrid frame lock versions I have (S90V and M4), but the weight difference is noticeable enough that I often just grab a G10 version if I wear light summer clothes.

Re: Native Chief REX45 and S90V Sprint discussion and ANTICIPATION thread! (not alerts)

The Chief was never on my radar, but when I noticed the S90V CF version, I ordered one on a whim because I knew the window of opportunity was small and I would kick myself later if I missed out. And boy am I glad I did! It arrived today, flawless and pretty and pointy. What an excellent large slicer...

Re: Why did you join?

As a boy I’ve been fascinated with swiss army knives ever since I saw the first episode of “MacGyver”. My dad always carried a small pen knife, and gifted me a 58mm Classic when I turned 8. After that I had a few SAKs around, through school and into adulthood. Later I fell in love with the alox Sold...
