I would say one aspect of the original box - at least for me - that has been left out here is that it is an indicator of the care with which the knife has been treated for its lifetime. This may be insignificant for a newer knife, but as others have said, the older the knife, the more value the box ...

It looks pretty regular in this two pictures to me but that doesn't mean that much I don't think.

How does it feel to you in hand etc?

Unlikely, given the Tim Wegner has his own company. What might be possible would be a re-issue of the Ocelot, perhaps without the paw prints. Spyderco owns that design outright and it has a midlock. http://www.paulberetta.com/Collaboration%20Models/images/tim_wegner_ocelot_production.jpg How do you...

Perhaps the high hollow grind vs the flat grind makes the blades look different in size

I think at a minimum a back lock would yield a new design and would not be the C48 Wegner model any longer...

It's a great knife. I agree that it should be reissued but with the liner lock.

I host my pictures on Photobucket, so there isn't a 100Kb limit. The picture you see is actually a link, not an attachment on the forum. If you click on "Reply With Quote" on my post with the picture you'll see the link code. For that matter, if you click on the picture it will take you t...

One of the issues with bringing back some of these early Spydies may be the size of the Spydie hole. I know it might seem kind of trivial, but some of these models have thumb holes that are almost too small to be useful. And this might limit their appeal and marketability. Personally, I love the pr...

I have a lot, but I have no idea how to post pictures on here believe it or not. Plus, I'm fairly terrible at taking pictures as well (all I have for a camera is my phone). I need to figure it out already. It's ridiculous. This is my favorite era of Spydercos. I think the original Terzuolas move me ...

I vote that we add excessive pictures of ATS-34 models in addition to the in-depth discussion.

Anyone else agree?
