It always impresses me that Spyderco pays close attention to its end-users. I haven't handled the Manix or Chinook II, so I don't know how the smaller lock well compares to the boyle dent. However, I'm a big fan of the compression lock and would like to see more knives with it. I wish the Manix and ...

dailex, I've had the same experience. I followed instructions with the original sharpmaker for my old-style Rescue. Now I'm more careful about sharpening serrations and run the right side down the triangle several more times than the left. Also, my CE Native actually arrived with rounded serrations....

I tried the Gunting in my pocket but hated it. I also have a problem walking around with visible steel at work, so I keep my knives IWB, with an SS cricket in the pocket for sheeple work. I wear the Gunting in a custom holster from survival shealths (www.survivalsheath.com)in the car to/from work an...

Since I only have 10 spydies and actually use most of them on a fairly regular basis, I keep them on-hand in a nightstand drawer and a clay pot on the dresser. I'm frequently wearing 3 of the 10 anyway. The rest of my knives I keep in two cardboard boxes. Hmmm, display cabinets, now that looks cool....

update on the sheath: Last night I carried the knife and sheath around the house with handle at a downward cant (45 degree angle). In the space of an hour or so, it fell out twice. I wasn't running or bouncing, though one time I was hurrying down my hallway. <a href=http://www.spyderco.com/forum/Top...

I don't think I've ever had a knife pulled out of my pocket (I used to carry in RB), but I've switched to IWB to prevent that from happening. It's also nice that IWB is very low profile. Most of my customers wouldn't be happy if they knew I was carrying a 3+ in blade. It doesn't go well with the shi...

My EDC stays drudgingly the same: Rescue 93mm CE LF WB, SS cricket PE in RF pocket (not clipped) during work hours. In my LF pocket I carry a Leatherman Micra (scissors). After work and in the car, add Gunting PE in sheath on my right hip. On the weekends, and sometimes in the eve I put a Leatherman...

Offer it with exchangeable SS and kraton insert clips. Texturing near the thumb hole and hear the tip (like the impala). FRN w/ metal clip. Perhaps offer it with a kydex sheath as well. Marlinspike. (oops how did that get in here?) Actually I'd like to see a spydie w/ a marlinspike. Rescue or Harpy ...

Jim, Remember that UPS didn't work on Monday (holiday), so you have two weekends to contend with. Also, in my experience, UPS is much slower than USPS when it comes to cross-country ground shipping. 5-8 business days from CA to FLA. It's all dependent upon the Zone you're in. If you're in a nearby z...

VWTattoo: Yeah, the first time I sheathed it, I didn't push it in all the way either. Even with it fully sheathed, I don't think it could handle lots of bouncing around (like me running) inverted. Then again, I wasn't about to try it either. <a href=http://www.spyderco.com/forum/Topic.asp?topic_id=6...

I recently purchased a Perrin. The blade is wonderful, cuts like a dream. I've never seen a PE blade slide through cardboard like this one. My one complaint is the sheath. It holds the blade vertical, horizontal, inverted, and at a 45 degree angle. Since I wear it on my right hip, I'd like to carry ...

I think a dragongfly blade with fingergrooves on the handle, a la the navigator, would be great. Maybe even take a cue from the Gunting and Dodo, and make the handle a little larger than the knife. I love my SS Dragonfly, so it's hard to suggest improvements. <a href=http://www.spyderco.com/forum/To...

I saw my first Spydie at an outdoor show. The guy was demonstrating the sharpmaker, and selling some Enduras and Delicas as well. I didn't buy one then, it would be several years later before I bought my first Rescue. I never should have wasted my money on that Cold Steel SRK. Shoulda bought the spy...

Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone. It's hard to choose one sheath maker over another. I ordered mine from Rob at Survival Sheath. I want to say that he did an excellent job. The gunting fits smoothly in the sheath, I have no trouble drawing it, yet it remains secure. I'm quite pleased with...
