how many strokes/what method would you use to put a microbevel on a scandi grind bush knife if you were using the sharpmaker? :confused:

i noticed that too, it seems they have changed the screws on china models recently, wheather or not the screws are higher quality i do not know. i guess we will have to wait and see

also the as for grits, i heard the diamond are 240# the medium are 450# the fine 100# and the ultrafine 6000# but these are rough estimates from a buddy who is very very experienced at sharpening

get the utrafine rods or better yet the 306 uf stone and your set, the fine and medium are too course, look up cartercutlery razor sharpening on youtube and there is all the info you need :)

i was wondering today while tinkering with my sharpmaker, what angle do you use to sharpen and what system/method do you use to get your knives :spyder: sharp

i was in st Johns NL this summer and found one of the us baliyos in a shop called "the outfitters" they had a selection of spydies and their spydie logo on the door is what drew me in, great store but i did end up walking out with a $300 arctryex jacket :( the sales people there are just TOO good!

hollow it out make a lid , carve your design place a candle inside and close the lid, my pumpkin knives are salt 1 and squeak

200 euro is cheap for a dodo or a karambit if that offer pops up again, go for it

check out "gavkoo" on youtube he makes great sheaths for very cheap prices ,
type in "gavkoo kydex"

bring anything but a bali or a switchblade anything is fine as long as you dont carry it or dont put it in you hand luggage
