That was my 1st ever Spyderco. I do carry it some, but in a horizontal sheath at 11:00 O'Clock on my belt.
I have so many, and buy sell almost everyday, but this one has been in my possession since 2006.

Looks very elegant. :)
And that is why I did it. A classy Sunday-Go-To-Meeting knife that is deadly serious.

This is the other TI Military I got in last week. Modded it with a Cru-Wear blade, orange peeled the hardware, carbized the lock face, and drilled tapped a tip up Ti pocket clip.
This one ...

Robo, how do you get the orange peel texture? Is it just with polishing? Nice, by the way.

I did what the youTube vid of TuffThumbz had shown. I use a coarse wire wheel, then a light polish.
You can see it here.

Here are a couple more teasers on my Gold Fluted TI mod. Still waiting for new ...

Just finished up a TI Military and Cru-Wear blade swap.
Scales, back spacer, and clip are orange peeled. Lock face has been Cabonized. TI clip has been drilled and tapped for tip up carry.
And a Cru-Wear blade from a Sprint has been swapped in. Now I consider this a hard use knife, and is in my ...

I really like Bloodwood.
Here is one I did in 2004 with a section of deep red bloodwood. the tail section is RedHeart, much lighter in color.

Good day everyone. I picked this up recently and I'm glad I did. It was advertised as "gently used" and when it showed up I found it to have an aftermarket polished blade and a very rounded tip. It was also the dullest knife I've ever handled. Otherwise the handle was indeed gently used but not ...

Evil D wrote:That green dye job on the Military is outstanding. If I could be sure I would get the same results I would dye my gray Para 2 like that in a heartbeat. That color almost matches the paint on my Mustang.
Thank you. And now that you mentioned it, I had a 67 Fairlane GTA that color!

One of the worst cuts I ever got was from a butter knife while trying to split frozen hotdogs. It slipped and jammed into the tip of my middle finger. It was more like a bad rip than a cut. Skin is really fragile stuff.

OUCH! And the finger tips are the worst place to get cut. A lot of nerve ...

That RED Caly really makes my want to modify mine. Did the dye bond to any other parts?

I took mine apart, but I have dyed 20-30 in the past 4-5 years, and several were not dis-assembled. Had NO stains on the Stainless parts. I haven't dyed a carbon steeled knife, though. And wasn't sure how the ...

Great job and great photos as well, RoBo! Which two colors? Is there a link to the dying procedure?

Not really a procedure. It seems like every time I do this, it's different.
Take this Spyderco Gray G-10. On the Caly 3.5 Sprint, I used the Orange Rit (POWDER) and it came out very similar to this ...
