Re: Wedding Spydie

I love the idea of a fixed blade, in fact I have a few fixed blades that were previously owned by deceased relatives and I'll likely carry one of those as well. That's part of the reason I was considering a small gentleman's folder for the pocket as an addition.

I appreciate the reply Budda. I figured I wouldn't see these come up again. Maybe I'll get lucky though! Thanks again.

Re: Wedding Spydie

I'd like to thank everyone for their input on this topic. So many great suggestions, unfortunately most are not available through the SFO! I'm still keeping an eye out, and an ear to the ground for something to catch my eye that I must have. If I don't find a winner at a decent price I'll probably j...

Re: Cruwear Smallfly2

Not all that surprisingly, it seems like this must've been a very small run. I can't seem to find one online anywhere, and only saw it in stock once or twice. Anybody have any leads on one?

Wedding Spydie

It’s happening y’all. I’m getting married. I have a decent collection of spydies that I love, but I think a special something is in order for my big day. It’s at the end of the year and I’m curious about y’all’s opinion’s or experiences regarding special knives for weddings. I’m sure I own something...

I wonder if it changes over time, or where it's being shipped to? You could give them a call, I'm sure they'd tell you.

Yeh I’m sure I could do that :) I bet the tracking info will be along shortly to answer my question as well.

Shipping carrier?

I’ve ordered multiple times from the SFO, and I can’t seem to remember who they ship through for standard ground deliveries. Could anyone remind me? I did a quick search here and didn’t find any useful info on the first few pages. Thanks in advance! - Brad

Re: Congratulations Spyderco! American Made Knife of the Year!

Beat me to it by 1 minute. Congrats for the win Spyderco. Though personally, it doesn’t feel like a military. Like they could’ve named it the paramilitary xl or something. Idk. I’ll probably get one regardless, because the Millie is a favorite of mine. :)

Looking through it now! First thing that caught my eye; is the uncoated shaman stonewashed now??? I think that’d be a welcome change for most people.

Re: Spyders For Work: What Specific Uses For Each Model?

Another good thread here JD. I work as a paramedic on an ambulance currently, though I’ve worked for a Municipal Fire dept, and I’ve also worked as a wildland firefighter in the past. I typically carry 2 knives with me while at work. Usually a SE Salt 2 In my left thigh pocket, for all general cutti...

Re: New knife excitement

I think the crucarta pm2 is going to be one I pick up as well. I have the standard tanto pm2 and it just doesn’t really do it for me. So I think a standard blade with nice materials might be a nice addition.

Re: New knife excitement

I guess that could be it as well! I’ve had my fair share over the years. The last knife I received that exceeded my expectations was the zcarta shaman. Being my first shaman, first micarta, and first zwear (or equivalent), I’ve had a hard time pulling that one out of my pocket since then. Good insig...

New knife excitement

I, like many of you, am awaiting the arrival of the new GITD Jester. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited for it, but I feel like the excitement level is less than it has been for other, typically larger knives. Does anyone else feel this way about new purchases? Is it a price thing? Is it related to the...
