Re: JD Smith...

The Foliage JD Smith was an early addition when I started to collect and I still think it's one of the best looking out there. Just a beautiful knife in every regard and still the sharpest I have ever handled. People throw around the term scary sharp quite a bit...that baby was frightening.

Re: Sharpening Service?

As a professional sharpener I can help with your dull knives, but no one will be able to fill the request of kinda sharp. When the Slopes of a bevel meet and form an apex the knife is sharp, the grit the edge is finished too gives it its refinement. The difference in sharpness will not be enough to...

Sharpening Service?

This afternoon I put up a Mag-Blok with all our new Spydie kitchen knives, which replace the old 2 man Henckels and no-names we were using. These old knives were losing their edges even before I got into the hobby and they are absolutely butter knife dull and beat down at this point...totally beyond...

Re: What Are You Watching?

Eating a bowl of Cap'n Crunch watching Pinky and the Brain. Both classics. LOL! I just ate a bowl of Cocoa Pebbles (which I haven't had in years) while watching 70's/80's commercials and cartoon intros on You Tube. :D Sometimes I wish I could start over and go through it all again. Good times, man....

Re: What Are You Watching?

I watched Star Trek "Into Darkness" last night. I enjoyed it and really liked J.J. Abrams' (albeit brief) portrayal of the Klingons, as well as his subtle nods to Star Wars.

On deck for tonight is Unforgiven, which I've never seen before.

Donut, I'm completely with you on this one, as I prefer liner locks and love VG10.

Do you think the upcoming Lil' Lum will hit this mark?

When I clicked to page 21 I thought I was about to see a Titanium Jot Singh Khalsa. As I scrolled down, the next thing that popped into my head was a Ti, Jot Singh/Szabo hybrid.

Re: Sanity check on unwanted visitors

It seems that we're becoming a society with no middle ground, no grey area, it's all or nothing. What I mean by that is, on the one hand there are people like your nosy neighbor who have the audacity to walk on to someones property and snoop around while the owner is away. Then we have folks that pr...

The GB2 looks fantastic, like it'll melt right into the hand. The detail grinds on the lock bar are a nice touch as well.

Thank you for putting this one up early and not keeping us in suspense. ;)

Re: Knives at Disneyland?

We went in October 2013 and after realizing on the previous trip that it wouldn't be an issue, I brought my Squeak with me. That said, I was still very cautious when using it in a park. Nice thing about a small Spydie like that is being able to conceal it almost entirely in hand while using it. I al...
