Re: Enuff XL

Really like the idea of a thinner and longer Enuff but do think 10cm/4" is too much. (or too little, would've also liked it in 4mm and about 110-120mm bladelength) Prefer a good EDC too not be so chubby as the OG Enuff but do really like the fact that it finally was a 'neck knife'/ edc blade t...

Re: 2022 Amsterdam meet

Thanks Joris, much appreciated. Guess I'll have to resort to the sideshow then. Amsterdam being the vibrant city it is I'm sure there'll be plenty of things to do... :party-face like pay my old man a visit. :cheap-sunglasses I'm sure it'll take some time to plan a next Spydiemeet so might well be d...

Re: 2022 Amsterdam meet

Just found out a couple days ago that sanctions in Holland were lifted. Can anyone local confirm this? :respect :bug-white :bug-red :bug-white :respect At the moment a lot has been lifted but still some sanctions up on how many people are allowed together for what kind of space and such. But a meet...

Re: Help pick a full serrated knife

Question? Do you think H1 or vg10 holds a sharp edge longer than LC200N? I am busy as heck and don’t have any equipment to sharpen my salt 2 , a week of edc has knocked the edge keenness down hard, doing more sawing then cutting, I need to strop or find A quick remedy to finish the next week or two...

Re: Spyderco Safety Razor?

Those multi blade disposable and cartridge razors are the biggest scam in the world. They cost nothing to make and they increase the price to ridiculous levels. As you noted, you spend more time cleaning the gunk out than actually shaving. If Spyderco made such a razor out of aluminum or stainless ...

Re: Travel knife -- checked luggage

Have always been lucky with quite a bit of travel back in the day, a bit less now but usually bring the knives I want to use which can be expensive at times. I live in Amsterdam, NL, not much great outdoors around here so I have at times also brought my Randall 14 on a trip so I could at least try i...

Have Salts in many different sizes but for me the Pacific Salt in SE H1 is by far the best hard use folder I know.

Re: Spyderco Safety Razor?

Love my safety razors and must've been using them for about 20-25 years now. I also shave my head as well as my beard so then you end up with so much hair that with modern razors you spend more time trying to get the hair out of all those blades than you do actually shaving. ;) Think if Spyderco wou...

Re: Return of the Reverse?

I'd take one, should've picked one up back then! And yes, the original steel would be great just like many other good basic user steels. The super fancy steels are great for special runs and such but most modern basic user steels are already a great quality for a daily user. (I practice some grindin...

Re: Pacific Salt talk

An Endela sized Salt, with the shallow serrations, would also be a great companion to the Pac Salt and Salt. I have to consciously decide to rotate out my Pac Salt though. When I carry it, it always occurs to me that it would be the only knife I need. An 'Endela Salt' is a blade I've been waiting f...

Re: Endela Wharncliffe?

Nice knife, good to see more Endela's any which way! :) Probably not for me because my Rock Jumper will do what I need this size Wharncliffe for but if I ever need a new serrated Wharncliffe this'll probably be it. (my main use Wharncliffe is my Salt2 in LC200N) Btw, haven't been here much for awhil...

I really need to get one of these. I put one in my cart and then something else comes along I want.
Yes, you do really need one, how often does the best brand of folders come up with a new best basic user blade? ;)
