I'm going to ask a really irritating question :D Did you buy your Delica used and never noticed the tip was already broken when you first got it? Or did you buy it new but someone had returned it with a broken tip and the store did not notice it. I know. Stupid question.

It is odd though how the ...

I wouldn't say this thread has no value. One might say that the OP is looking for a good tip here in the forums. :p

Yeah, Im coming here to see if this is a problem people have had. I wasnt sure if it was possibly some kind of design flaw or maybe a bad blade, some kind of QA error or what.

I ...

I cant stress it enough, no one used the knife. I live alone. No one used it. Its an impossibility.

The hardest material its been poked through is a manila bubble wrap envelope. Ive not dropped it. Ive had it for about 4 months now and I dont think Ive ever dropped it, let alone in the last couple ...

Nope, no one borrowed it. It stays in my pocket 99% of the time. Which is why I have no idea how it happened. I work in an office so its not used for work.

I did nothing that Im aware of. I just took it out to look at the edge on my knife and noticed the tip was gone. I havent sharpened it in a few months because Im not that good at it. And there the tip was, or rather wasnt. Like I said, I use it for mail and cutting fishing line. It gets light use. I ...

Tip Broke off my Delica 4

No clue how it could have happened. I use it to open mail and cutting fishing line for the most part. Never stab it into anything, ever.

Now its just got a flat stubby tip. Its a decent little piece thats now missing.

Is this common?

I dont have a camera that will take a good enough picture.

Basically its like an uneven edge the whole way up and down the blade. All kinds of crazy angles.

Its still sharp but not that sharp. Im sure thats caused by the uneven angle.

Its like that on both sides as well.

Ive tried to Google ...

Messed up the edge on Delica real good

Been trying over the years to learn how to better sharpen by hand.

I really did a number on my Delica 4 with it. Its still sharp but the edge looks like I massacred it.

What should I do?

Are there places you can trust to fix the edge?

I just bought a Delica 4.

Without question it is the greatest EDC knife I have ever owned. The ergonomics are spectacular, the blade is crazy sharp, the handle is nice and grippy, and the action is nice and smooth.

But either the Delica or Endura and be happy. Yes, they are worth the money.

Its working well for me so far. I would say that a straight edge may serve my purposes of cutting fishing line better. The serrations are ok, but a plain edge would be quicker and cleaner.

USPS never updates the tracker thing so I'm never sure about when it's going to arrive at my house. It almost always updates at the sorting facility where it ships out of but then nothing until it shows up in my mailbox. I've learned to sort of put the delivery in the back of my mind for a few days ...

Ever Miss the Mailman?

There you are, every day on-the-hour checking the tracking information, following every step of the knifes journey to your hands. Imagining all the things you can use it for.

But then you miss the delivery.

Like a child, you kick and scream but eventually drive all the way to the Fed-EX, UPS, or ...

This Delica is the sharpest thing I have ever used. Right out of the box it was scary sharp. Its not even just hair popping sharp, its forearm skin peeling sharp.

These just came today. Dragonfly Salt and Endura 4. Had a Griptilian for a while, then a Tenacious, a CRKT in the past and many other random crappy ones.

Without question the Delica is the finest knife I have ever owned. I used to not even like Spyderco knives. I thought they were ugly. Cant tell ...

Just had my Dragonfly Salt come in the mail today. No tests yet. Going fishing next Tuesday and I am going to do everything I can to get this thing as grimy and wet as possible. Then I am going to put it into my plastic Plano tackle box and let it sit on my dash in the sun. Leave it for a few days ...

Wow, super cool picture! I like the orange one, it really stands out and also blends in really well with the peppers. Great pic.

Is that the Dragonfly or the Ladybug Salt? I just ordered a yellow Ladybug Salt.

Got a Sage 3 from him on Wed. $89, not bad at all. CS has consistently lower prices in my experience, but Howe's clearance bin usually beats CS by a few bucks. Problem is, I can get free shipping with the nutnfancy coupon code at CS so I Usually spend about the same at either place. Plus, both have ...
