Delica4 Saber

I already had a Delica4 Blue FFG but there was something about the Saber grind that called to me so I finally got one today. I'm sure it won't match the FFG for slicing ability but the blade feels a lot more substantial.

Not sure but I think G10 is more rigid but G10 likes to rip up my pocket edges

Bolt Action Lock (Sage3) for me. Buttery smooth and locks up tight with a click.

I couldn't agree more, the Sage series was a great idea. I don't usually collect a whole series of anything and just cherry pick the models I like but I'm getting any Sage that comes out. I already have the first 4 and I'm looking forward to the 5th whenever it comes out (next year?).

I just recently got a PM2 (DLC) and I'm really loving it more than I thought, it's just about the perfect size even though I thought it would be huge compared to my other knives. I don't have a GB but I would think it would serve as a good heavy duty knife rather than an EDC as it's a bit on the hea...

Awesome
(ok take out that silly lanyard slot while you are at it and put a big tube like the PM2)

EDIT: And change the useless clip for a wire one like on the Sage1

I heard J.W.Rawles on the radio last month and have been meaning to get this book. Do you recommend it? I was also thinking of picking up Patriots as well. The book is good, I think I read about half of it and skimmed through the rest. It has some good ideas all put together in one place, some comm...

Love the compression lock, it's like having the BAL on my Sage3 mixed with the liner-lock on my Sage1. If they come out with a SageX with a compression lock I'd be all over it for sure. Now that I've gotten a knife over 3" I'm thinking about a Manix2 and a Military...

Ok, I caved in, went back to the store tonight to get the PM2 and saw some shorts that I liked, while I'm in the change room trying them on I noticed my wallet was missing! After a second I realized that I had taken out my wallet while I was home and sat it on the counter. I only had an hour left be...

I don't think cheap labour is the reason that we see Taichung-made knives, I think Spyderco found a good knife maker to produce models that the CO plant doesn't have the capacity to produce. If Spyderco goes out and finds the best places to get knives made for them then all the power to them. If the...

Handled my first PM2 tonight...

Local store had an all-black PM2 out and so I had to try it out. Very nice, not as big as I thought it would be judging by the internet pics. The compression lock was nice but the pivot was tight and there was a lot of oil in it so it didn't swing too freely. Very light for the size and fit the hand...

I used the coarse stones at 40 using reverse strokes and worked out the bent edge without much work but the factory grind near the choil was a little off so I think even at 40 I wasn't hitting the edge, needs a little more work and it'll be fine.

Thanks for the tips guys.

Thanks guys, I'll give her a go on my Sharpmaker at 40. I'll try that backstroke idea. Worst-case I'll reprofile at 30.
