Re: Who else wants a SE Lil'Matriarch Salt in H1 ?!

H1 SE Salt and I would HAVE to have one, either lil or full size. Maybe a sprint run?

Re: Salty 2 Two

Hobnob, what color did you use to make denim blue? Most of the ones I've seen have turned more green.

Re: Salty 2 Two

I don't have a 2 yet, I'm sure I will, but Salt 1 PE, SE, Tasman Salt and Pac Salt are all regular carries. I love them all.

Stream26, great watch. I wear a watch everyday, and Seiko and Orient are also my favorite brands.

Re: Sell me on the plain edge Tasman Salt 2

I really love the SE Tasman Salt. I wouldn't try this one in PE. Often I have to talk myself out of carrying mine for a long time, because I assume there must be a reason a hawkbill doesn't work for EDC, but it really does. You can do a lot of stuff with it, and it cuts like a beast.

Re: The big Unplug

Yep. I moved from WI in a 1978 Ford, 23 foot motorhome. I sold all my stuff, and spent 6 months living and travelling in it. I loved it.

Re: Sal, can we please have an orange P4 LW?

I'd really go for an orange H1 Salt SE sprint run, similar to the Spyderhawk. It would sell like hotcakes.

Re: The big Unplug

The Mastiff, thanks. A small older trailer or motorhome is definitely something I thought of, after all of this, and am considering. I know a small generator, at least for the refrigerator, and some decent solar panels, are mandatory now. I figure I have just under a year to get ready for next time.

Re: The big Unplug

I'll just add that it really sucks. Five days of evacuation from home, no power where we evacuated to, then no gas for four more days when we got back. Over a week of work missed, then throwing away all the food in the refrigerator, as well as all the food in the separate freezer, including the spec...

Re: Wife and pot holes

I think it is very likely the difference in perception between driver and passenger. It's kind of like when someone drives a manual, thinking they are buttery smooth, but the passenger's head is yanking back and forth.

I definitely think thrift stores and resale shops will have what you are looking for, but it will take some persistent shopping.

Re: Your Idea of a DREAM HAWKBILL folder?

Just a dream, of course, but probably a PM2 esque, kind of like the Superhawk was to the Superleaf. Maybe a bit Salty, in H1 serrated, lightweight compression lock, a la PM3 Lightweight. Too much to ask, undoubtedly, but hey, we can dream, right?

I've always wanted a Spyderco ARK, but I wouldn't wear it as a neck knife.

It's not my favorite, but I like it enough, and would often prefer anything to black and silver, given the choice.

Sorry you guys are in pain. Someone very close to me is in a similar situation. I know how difficult it can be, and I just wish it would get better for everyone.

On a lighter note, those are really fantastic pictures. They make me feel like I'm there. Thanks for posting them.

It makes me realize I should try a Native of some sort one of these days. I'm curious how I would like the no hump design, as all my Spydies have one.
