Just ordered a second Stretch 2 XL with K390, it has displaced my Endura ZDP-189 for EDC.
Wanted a back up in case the tariff situation evolves and prices increase significantly.

Received mine last week,,,, rather disappointed,,, stiff opening spring and not very smooth action. Did a Gunny Glide application twice and WOW,,,, transformed the knife completely. The pivot screw tension was fine and no adjustment was needed. Press of lockbar and blade now free drops.

I find that stropping with diamond compound works faster on all steels, and one of the keys to making a strop work is to minimize passes. I think the diamond compound refines the apex faster and removes any microburring faster than traditional compounds, and I use it on all steels now.

I have a large collection of Seki knives with back lock design. All are excellent with no rock lock, not the slightest. Many of my Spyderco knives are clipless.
A favorite method is in a Victorinox large nylon belt pouch for Endura sized knives. I also daily carry a Delica in the short Victorinox nylon belt pouch. The Military fits nicely in a Benchmade nylon pouch.

Regarding question two, in a word, tolerances. The Golden factory holds closer manufacturing tolerances than the Seki makers.

I would immediately purchase 2 or 3.

My Delica Wharncliffe K390 arrived,,, every bit as sharp as the earlier KJ wharncliffe with CPM 20CV.
Bevels slightly off in width from one side to other,,,, easily adjusted in future sharpening.
Classic "Sticky Sharp" is a trend with my K390 blades.
