Translucent blue manix release - two spyderco responses

i wrote to Spyderco asking about the release of the translucent blue manix and here are the two responses I received: "We have no release date for the C101 Blue Manix. It may be available late this summer. I will put your name a list of interested persons and attempt to notify you by email when...

Any new news on the translucent blue Manix?

I saw one site that has a May 1st release date. Anyone have any other news? I'm dying for this one to come out. Love the pics with the blue handle. Any of you going to get it?

Explanation of grounds? Which is your favorite?

I'm a little fuzzy about the different grounds. Can someone tell me the difference between hollow ground, saber ground, and full flat ground? Of these, which is your favorite and why? Thanks.

How about the Persistence? Since you're considering the Tenacious, the Persistence is the same knife with a smaller blade. It's cheap and easy to sharpen. Just a suggeation.

Cool, I feel better now. I didn't know if it was normal to just let it fall close like that. I actually use my pointer finger with my thumb. Seems to work.

Do you close your Manix with one hand or two?

I figured out how to close it with one hand but I still don't seem as confident as when I close my Sage or Tenacious. How do you guys mostly do it?

I know what you mean! I'm not necessarily a big strong guy but I have to admit, when holding my manix, I kinda feel like Popeye after just eating spinach :)

My only frustration is that my new Manix box had a small orange sticker over the word Manix, when I went to peel it off, it peeled the word Manix with it - grrr. I like seeing the names on my spydie boxes.

Do any of you keep your Spyderco boxes?

I have 5 spydies and I've kept the boxes to each one. Any of you do that or do you throw them away?

Got my Manix today! I love it!

I love it more than I even thought I would. It's built like a semi and the blade came super super sharp. My sharpest blade. The ball bearing lock seems perfect and I think it's the highest quality knife I currently have. It even seems more solid than my Sage. I wasn't sure I'd like the weight but I ...

Lansky 4 rod sharpening system

Have any of you had much luck on the Lansky 4 rod sharpening system? It comes with course ceramic rods and fine ceramic rods. It's a lot less expensive than the sharpmaker. What experiences have you all had?

Kershaw blur s30v or Manix 2?

I know I'm on the spyderco forums but you are all pretty honest with your opinions. I've been looking at the kershaw blur s30v and the manix 2 and I like them both. They seem similar. If you could only get one, which would you choose and why? Thanks for your help.

I usually carry my sage but sometimes I carry my ambitious or my persistence. When camping or hiking I often grab my tenacious. Ok so I carry all of them - if I don't, they get lonely :)

I just got my Sage yesterday and I LOVE IT!!! Great edc. I also have the Tenacious, Persistence, and Ambitious but the Sage is my new favorite. I want the translucent blue Manix next. I'm becoming a Spyderco addict. Where do they hold the SA meetings? :)

What do you know about KRKnives?

I can't find any contact info. No email or phone number or even an address. There site is http://www.krknives.com . There's a chance I missed it somewhere. I'm trying to order the new translucent blue Manix and they seem to have a cheap price (unless it's cheaper somewhere else?) but I'm not sure if...
