Re: Is there an updated steel chart?

right, I completely understand that. I saw the steel chart on the website but it really just states the elements of it. Doesn't provide a layman's description of it. I really just wanted to see what the differences were with all the steels. I mean, I keep hearing about Elmax, SuperBlue, M40, HAP40 a...

Is there an updated steel chart?

Long time lurker, but very few posts. While I love me some Spydies, I don't have much money to spend on all that I want. When I do get the itch, I check on here and read about so many different steels that are available or coming out. Lately it's been the HAP40 that everybody wants to get in on. My ...

Pretty interesting but it seems like the PM2 is mentioned less than the Caly or Sage series on here. Would have not imagined that considering how much it gets talked about.

Turns out I don't love the Native 5 like I expected to so I haven't used mine one bit. I'm really torn on what to do because of it. I'm really not a fan of collecting and I would rather use it than leave it in a box, but being a forum knife makes it kinda sentimental to me so I don't necessarily wa...

No, it was probably 3 or 4 days later.

I've only received an email from them stating I got added to the waiting list, that's all.

Got more info today. They are making them now but not comfortable with the quantity yet. They will probably announce the release date in about 2-4 weeks and will be available for purchase 2 weeks after that.

I talked to them at the Blade Show and was told its coming. The had a "pre-prototype" ready about three weeks ago and everybody loved it. Only hint I was told was that it would be out "before it gets cold again".

While I'm still a newbie to the knife world, I currently have 2 PM2 and 3 Mani 2(2 of them being XL). I have to say, as much as I like the PM2, the Manix has become my favorite. The additional weight of it gives you a reassurance of it being nice and sturdy and up to any task. The XL has become my E...

I'm certainly not as seasoned in the knife world as some of you guys are, but I keep reading this whole thing about the weight of it so wanted to chime in on that. I personally have never had an issue with the weight of the Manix 2. I clip it on to my basketball shorts when at the playground with my...

I've been using Frog Lube because I already have it for my guns, and because it's non-toxic. It works just fine like many lubes (toxic and otherwise) and since one drop on a pivot is more than enough for months, expense doesn't really come into the equation. The bottle I have would be a lifetime su...

FrogLube vs. Nano Oil

So I'm looking to buy my first lubricant and have narrowed it down to these two. All of the reviews I've read on Froglube has been for guns. I was wondering if anybody has used it on their knives and what their experience is. If you use your knife for food prep, do you get the supposed minty taste? :p

My thoughts exactly as to the XL riding high. Anybody know of any low rider clips that are available for the XL?

For those that have one, is some blade play to be expected? I sent mine in for revision because the blade was off center and there was some side to side play. I just got it back and the blade is centered and very sharp, it's also been lubed. But I still notice the side to side play, is that common?

I'll add my experience at BladeShow this year, my second year going. I went today with the intent of asking Sal to teach me how to use the Sharpmaker. I explained to him that I am new to the knife scene but had bought a Para2 and a Sharpmaker and was intent on learning it. Sal's wife, Gail, was next...
