IMHO, I think any blade over about 3 inches is really pushing the sheeple factor unless you're doing IT at Cabela's or REI. Further I wouldn't worry about your hand slipping forward for office tasks and pull cuts pose no risk. Regarding price at a popular internet retailer the Endura is $89 and the...

Need suggestion, Gayle Bradley vs Endura ZDP Saber Grind for office
So I recently got an I.T. job at an office-type environment. Apparently Texas offices aren't like California offices I'm used to, so sheeple won't make much noise about you using a pocket knife to cut some cords. I love the looks of the gayle bradley (i've owned one previously) but the two things th...

Just got an office job myself, planning on buying a gayle bradley since I owned it previously. Great knife but I really do wish there was something more than the thumb ramp keeping your hand on the handle and not on the blade. (I mention this only because I'm going through law enforcement training w...

Help me find a spydie to match my new Sig :)
Just got my hands on a brand-spanking new Sig SP2022, all blacked out. I'm looking for a spydie (also blacked out) that will serve me well. I'll be using this sig to train in police academy, and the knife will be for duty when I get hired....though most likely they will issue me a glock  h...

If it follows the trend in a few years it may be in that mid 200 range. For something to bump into the $300's it has to be VERY unique or sought after. Hawkbills aren't well received by the average buyer; their loss I guess. :) Hmm, I'd probably have better luck selling the superhawk on the usual f...

Are superhawks rare and sought after?
I have one in my possession but am thinking of trading it for a benchmade 755 that I really like. Not sure if the superhawk will go up in value or if I can sell it for a decent profit.

i would try sand near the edge, try avoid hitting the edge too bad, it will dull the blade, reprofile once sanded. the sandpaper shouldnt cost more than 20 bucks if you find all the grits. It is possible to mirror polish the edge with sandpaper, but do a microbevel on the SM, sandpaper almost never...

Stropping question for a mirror polish
Working on my newly acquired emerson, just wondering- can I strop the polished part of the knife right below the stonewashed? I know I can get the edge to mirror edge if I strop it, will the blade itself have the same effect?

Temperance 2, requesting BK coating!
I must say, of all the fixed blades I've ever owned, the temperance 2 takes the cake. It may not be an Esee beater, but it definitely has the best ergonomics and blade shape. Funny thing is, I turn to spyderco for my favorite fixed blade, and benchmade for my favorite folder :D What I would really a...

The Diamond rods are awesome to get a really dull knife in shape. I have some old cheap-azzed beaters that I worked over with the diamond rods before going to the brown, then white. Alos the ultRa fine are sweet too, to get a stupid sharp edge. I believe that they are sold as one unit rather than a...

What do you all use to clean your sharpmaker?
I bought this little eraser/sponge thing from Beckwith's Blades that erases the knife steel/coating powder right off, sadly I lost it somewhere in my room and I can't find it.
What do you all use? I don't want to have to wash the stones every time i sharpen

What is that paracord clip/clasp called?
I'm pretty embarrassed to say I can't think of the darn name for this! Could someone identify it for me so I can buy a 100 pack of them on amazon and never have to remember the name again? Thanks :D

Jackie the free guard dog
Looks like I just got a free guard dog for my house. We have this small female black lab coming around our house couple times a week and she just sorta sits there looking at a window till I bring it out some canned whatever-i-have-in-stock. In exchange, she sleeps on our patch of grass in front of t...

Not sure about the Warrior sheath, but the Street beat is a great little knife. The deep finger choil, great jimping, and micarta scales make it very comfortable in hand. I like the sheath too, I carry it IWB and it conceals very well. how does that vg10 deal with sweat? I'm in texas so IWB basical...

Spyderco Warrior Kydex Sheath?
I love carrying my temperance 2, and everything is perfect about that knife- but I feel I want some more variety but I want a sheath just like this one (g-clip, high carry, etc). Where can I get a kydex sheath for the warrior? Also, I was thinking about the Fred Perrin Street Beat....but it sure is ...
