Apology Accepted. Making one isn't easy. I made one to my dad recently, and everything is going fine. If you're imsomniac as you have suggested, then you might want to see a doctor about it. I have and I manage to get back to somewhat normal (except that now I can't wake up early just yet, when I'm ...

VW: I could think of a 2 digit number that would be nice to have, but that should be mentioned in a forum more limited to mature audiences :D j/k

fredswartz: I had the Renegade and it's a great knife. I love the clip point, but the long blade may be a bit unwieldy.
Too bad I love my Starmate more

Ken: I'm no knife technician, but I've read other's post about how to recenter a knife, and so far I've seen improvement on blades other than the Salsa. It just seems that the Salsa would be more centered if the pivot is tightened, so I did that. I just hang around at BFC a lot <img src="wink.g...

As to the Endura stamp, it was noticed a long time ago.
If it uses Endura handle, I don't think it's quite the first time. I think the Merlin and the Delica actually shares the same handle.

Aluminum handled salsa - couple of little problems.

As posted over at BFC... My package from SMKW arrived today with the Navigator and the Salsa. The Navigator is pretty much perfect, except that the slots cut in the handle could use a little rounding. I've got the Blue Salsa (I'm too cheap to get the titanium handled one), and it has a couple of pro...

I think they probably extended the carson flipper and make it on both sides more than anything else. It's designed as an integral guard, and with the rounded corners, I doubt it would do well as a Gunting ramp. The ramp on the Gunting is much more prominant to make it effective. Smaller protrusions ...

Sorry to hear that happen, but I think you should've told her about that. At least it would save her a trip to the hospital/doc.
I probably would do something that stupid anyways.....

To be honest, even if the Rescue becomes a weapon (even for self defence), it won't be very good because the sheepsfoot blade makes it harder to make fatal strikes. It's still going to cut but at least it ain't going to stab. I hope to see this version to come out soon. I'm quite interested at the R...

Well I hope I didn't offended you.... I'm a bit dull today (from the cold meds) and I somehow couldn't sense your sarcasm that when I look back, seems quite plausible, if not apparent. The wonders of the Internet have yet to solve the fact that we can't communicate emotion well when compared to a re...

ken, So, you're saying that because car thiefs steal cars by prying the plastic around the ignition key with a slot screwdriver, that screwdriver manufacturers should restrict the sales of all slot screwdriver, including those multiple bit screwdrivers, to police only because these gangbanger will r...

Well I've let this thread rested enough, any new information about this version of the rescue? I'm very tempted to get Normark to make a sheath and find a secure place to put this in the car.

Yup... sucks to work at these jobs.
I was trying out this place that they ask me to deliver food... I drive like 45minutes on evening traffic to get there, and they run you down pretty **** bad.
I guess this should give me the motivation to study well and get a decent job.

rico, as stated, the Vesuvius' design is fairly tricky and some of them are done well and some of them have lock problems or lateral play. In my case I have very strange lateral play when closed, and Mike told me that they can't replace with another one cause they're reengineered and are on back ord...
