My Endura's with a numbered 1998 Rescue thrown in.Bought it 4 years ago.First year with the metal clip I was told?

The Endura happens to be 1 of my favorite Spyderco's.
Was thrilled when I ran across this 1 but I can find no information in Google searches.
Appreciate anyone who can share any knowledge on the production of my recent find/purchase.

I went ahead with my purchase of this Spyderco rescue.How long were they produced like this may I ask and when did they stop?Interesting packaging,and thank's for your expertise.

Didn't know about this until I saw it on E-bay.The knife shop where I usually purchase and shop has none in this shrink wrapped casing on a card?.Saw it on e-bay and thought I would join and ask because of all the knock off's.All Spyderco's I have came in a box,and not on a card. http://cgi.ebay.com...
