Hello Spyderco folk! :) I also have the above knife... Delica 4 Titanium / Damascus. It is a beautiful knife... one of my favourites! I am very lucky to have scored one as the import of one-handed opening folders is now banned in my country :( The only minor problem I have with this knife is the Spy...

I feel ur pain. Can't you ask someone coming to Australia from another country to bring one across to you? I am sure that someone from the States who is on forum would be willing to help. As much as I would really like this knife I can't go asking someone to break the law for me. The law is stupid ...

That is a seriously good looking folder~! :D

Pity all compression locks are banned for import in my banana republic backwards country :(

I'm going to go & get my Massad Ayoob & put some CF tape on the scales & pretend I have a Laci Zcabo

I am interested in any new stretch variant! :D
The twin bolsters & wood scales would look very classy I think.
The image linked by The Deacon is superb! :D
Bolster materials : Anodised Aluminum? Gold Titanium?

Joining in to ask for at least T8 or higher on the Torx screws please! :D

I have one torx in the handle of a Byrd Caracara2 that is stripped & I can't get it out. I thought about drilling it out but then decided I'd mod a Tenacious instead :P

I would buy a VG-10/G10 Stretch! Preferably with thick steel liners.
My dream Stretch would be ZDP189 PE / Steel liners & front bolster / Polished black G10 scales / Wire clip :Homer Drool Sound: ;)

I also agree :) The M2XL fits my hand so well & has a great pivot to spydie-hole distance that makes opening & closing so easy. I like the weight of it even though that moves it out of my pocket onto my belt usually. I would also be keen for a Sprint run of the M2XL with bolsters & polis...

Bad luck man. :( Especially with a black coated blade.

I have never done it before but I imagine it would be an easier grinding job to grind the spine down to the point? As it would keep the angle of the full flat grind the same.

Best of luck with it anyway! Hope you get a decent point back! :D

Mine looks dark grey to me & the specs say the color is "charcoal". I also agree it's a great color for the FRN scales. One of Spyderco's best colors imo.

sharpened my byrd caracara2 on the sharpmaker this morning whilst having breakfast :D the 8cr13mov & a wide relief edge make is so easy & quick to get "working edge" sharp. i'll be hacking up a heap of thick cardboard with it today so no point in getting it super sharp.

awesome knife for edc. light but has a decent size handle.
very cool looking blade shape that is thin for slicing goodness.
easy to sharpen & takes a nice sharp edge.. tho I spose that applies to pretty much all vg10 blades.
