Thanks. If they restock by Christmas, that works. I can wait two months.

Re: Native 5 lc200n?
Plain. I appreciate your looking, however, I just checked and knife works says out of stock. I’m not sure if I’m reading something incorrectly?

Re: Emerson knives??
Hi Raven, I’ve purchased about 7 Emerson’s over the years and I can tell you that the newly made ones are superior in action, detent strength and lockup. I still experience lock stick but it seems to break in and go away. The grinds are beautiful and the finished is pretty good. I say pretty good b...

Re: Emerson knives??
Thanks for the responses. I guess the rumors I heard are just rumors. Fit and finish is apparently the same (lacking to the point it hurts the function).

Emerson knives??
Anyone purchase an Emerson folder lately? I purchased a few about 8-9 years ago. I liked the designs but the fit and finish was on the poor side (l took them apart when cleaning and had trouble getting them back together due to the poor fit). I heard Emerson’s fit and finish have improved significan...

Rust preventative ?
So I did a search on rust prevention for high carbon blades, and found a ton of information...too much information in a way.
If someone wants a good high carbon rust preventer...
1) food safe (won’t go bad)
2) dry (not oily or sticky)
What are people using these days?
Thanks

Chuck Norris is so strong, when he does a push-up, he doesn’t push himself up, he pushes the earth down.

KO work sharp question?
Hello, Anyone use it? So the instructions say, use the 25 degree setting on pocket knives and 20 degree setting for kitchen knives. Those angels sound off to me??? I guess if I’m sharpening lower end steels those angles are good? 440a, etc? What if I’m sharpening tougher/stronger/harder steels? Vg10...

Re: Neck Knives? Good or Bad?
I didn’t read all the posts....just the OP.
Good.
Didn’t native Americans carry neck knives for...thousands....tens of thousands of years??? Definitely not a fad.

Fred Perrin knives
Hello all,
What do you think of Mr. Perrin’s little knife called the
“mini pic” ???
I think in WWII they called this type of knife a tire slasher?
Could it be a decent little necker for normal type stuff?
Thanks

Re: Toferner knives ???
Ok. Did a quick search...it does look like 5160 might be a good comparison. I’d be happy with a hand forged knife, at these prices, in this steel.

Re: Toferner knives ???
That dagger looks impressive.
Have not looked at the makeup of the steel. It sounds like a relative of 5160 ?
Those prices seem a little too good?? Perhaps I’m wrong? Good quality and a very reasonable price?

Anyone heard of them? Any good?
They have good reviews on Amazon, but I doubt those reviewers have the experience of those around here.
Thanks

Re: Spyderco Swick
I’m a big fan of the Swick design! They really are highly functional. I can definitely see a run of 500 selling; EDC fixed knives just don’t have the broad appeal EDC folders have with the masses though. —A wharncliffe or subtle hawkbill would be a nice blade shape. LC200N might be my first choice f...

LOL. I agree 100% with this! The Deacon wrote:It's definitely a deterrent to recidivism. Show me one case where someone who was executed for a crime has gone on to commit another.

Re: Amazing what some things cost
$795 for little beads and coins? Sorry, I’m a newbie here, but can I ignorantly ask.... why? My theory is that some people have enormous amounts of disposable income and WAY too much free time on their hands. I picture some guy or girl who invented a video game app that they sold for 20 million dol...

Re: Discontinued models on sale... what to do?!?
I bought a street beat a couple years ago. It’s a wonderful, gorgeous little fixed blade. Fred Perrin, Sal and Moki are an amazing combination. Now that it’s been discontinued, I couldn’t help but purchase a second one (I had to. There was no other choice :D).

Also, I have to imagine, for anyone with machining skills, these would be really easy to copy and sell on eBay.
