I would absolutely be in for a few coins. While rarely used for the originally intended purpose, they can and do serve as a collectible token of membership. Perhaps they could be offered in lieu of a forum knife in the years when the crew is too busy to create and produce a special blade? Not this y...

I just picked up a Woodlander, and will get a chance to break it in on a fishing trip this week! Thanks for the review, Travis!

Just wanted to share that Jeff posted some blue ZDP Stretches, and a couple other Sprint knives over at CS - go get 'em!

I have found that I'm able to use my index finger to release the lock, while my thumb grabs the Spydie hole and pulls the blade closed in a single motion. I don't have to change my grip, and there are never any digits in the path of the blade.

That's too bad - I would much prefer this color. I thought you had dyed the scales.

I would be in for almost any model. I like Blerv's idea of limiting sales to forum members, 1 per person, before opening to the public (when forum members could then purchase backups). I would also like to see the forum knives have some consistent color or marking/engraving year to year, so that the...

It was a SS Pro-Venator that I got around '92 or '93, and used hard for many years. That reminds me - it's coming up on its 20th birthday!

Well done! How long did this take? I've thought about doing something similar, but am afraid of messing up such a beautiful knife.

Ok, there has to be an "Alanis Morrisette" joke here somewhere, but it's late, and I guess I'm just not that funny, because I couldn't make one work. Here are a few of the failed attempts; -Alanis called, and she wants to use this thread in her next song. -Alanis wants to know what the fus...

Love all of these pictures, but Mr. Blonde's skill with a camera amazes me every time! And SixMoon's shot just oozes character - especially the duty-worn Delica!

Great job - keep 'em coming!

Got my wife a Delica to match the Ladybug I had gotten her earlier this year. Also got my son a FG Ladybug, and introduced a friend to Spyderco with a Chaparral - they were all big hits!

There have been a lot of great blades to choose from - GB, Caly SB, Lum Tanto, 20CP Para2, etc., etc., but I would have to agree that the Chaparral is the knife that gets the most pocket time. I don't have much need for a hard use knife, and the Chap is gorgeous looking, rides stealthily, slices lik...

Not to complicate your choices, but when I saw the thread title, I immediately thought "Gayle Bradley", although "reasonably tough" is selling it a bit short! If you haven't seen it, I urge you to check it out. It's a tank dressed in a tuxedo!

Satisfies both sides (price vs high-end steel), accessible to most, been asked for a bit (the G-10/ZDP combo)

thoughts?
I like it - good call! How about digi-camo?
