It wasn't a cop but I work at a casino and the head of security spotted my pocket clip.(we're not supposed to have one) It was my old trusty Delica, and the clip is almost completely silver with wear. If the clip was all black he would have never seen it against my black pants. He said I should leav...

Moran FB01 with the upswept tip has worked very well for my field dressing needs. I agree, the Moran with the upswept blade works well, but I'm sure the drop point would work well too. It's a fantastic knife for the price. I have used it for hunting for many years. Last year I upgraded to the South...

The couple shows I have been to that had Spydercos usually are marked up about 20-30% from what you find on the web. Marking them up 100% or more is absurd, but at least you got to handle them in person. There is the rare find that the guy doesn't know what he has, and sells it to you cheap. I got a...

Sounds like you need the CF ZDP Stretch

I am trying to get all the Taichung blades. I am missing the Tuff, Szabo, Hungarian, both Pukkos and Sage 4. Not sure if I'll finish the collections as most of the ones I don't have don't really interest me.

I have had a black bladed Military for two years, and while there is some small scratches up close it still looks good. I wouldn't have any reservations about the black coating, it's some pretty tough stuff. If you like the look of get, get it.

Svord :D Convex, differentially HT'ed L6. It seems a bit harder at the edge than many machetes so it takes a cracking edge. Unfortunately this is a rubbish pic of it, but you get the idea. http://i757.photobucket.com/albums/xx212/WinstonSmith_6079/PICT6327.jpg I have been looking for a good 12"...

My current favorite of the ones I have is the cheapest one I own. The sub $30 Condor 18" Eco light is great for lopping limbs and is a decent chopper even though its 5/64' thick. It came with the best edge I've seen on a cheap machete and is light enough to use all day. A decent handle and a sh...

Machetes

I have been getting into machetes recently and am wondering what everyone else uses/recommends. I recently purchased 2 Condors, a Cold Steel and an Ontario. I'm also looking to buy a 16" Fiddleback Forge.

Try a metal polish like Flitz, Simichrome or Super Premium. I would clean and oil it every time your knife comes in contact with a corrosive substance. (sweat, saltwater etc)
