Eric: Dodo/Manix
Sal: Caly Jr and family (UK, Caly 3, Urban, Squeak)

I own more Sal designs, but I'm not sure that means much. If there were as many varieties/sizes to the Dodo and Manix, the numbers would even out.

Thanks to Wouter's video, the Manix Lightweight has jumped to very high on my list.

Thanks to Michael Janich's remarks regarding the utility of the Yojimbo 2, it is one unequivocally the top of my list. Times 2.

Hooray for the Squeak! I was sold on it from the concept alone, then the pictures whetted my appetite, and now the video... it's all too much!

I noted Jurphass said "not available yet, but getting very close." I need many of these, for myself and as gifts!

So, if you are willing to sacrifice comfortABLE concealment for a more comfortING weapon, it is certainly possible to do so. :) I think this sums up my revamped philosophy nicely. The absolute last thing you want to do is to ask the gun store owner or clerk in the gun store what he thinks....chance...

Thanks everyone for your fantastic and helpful input. Doc and Jordan particularly have made several points I've taken into consideration (and, actually, I almost titled this thread: "Hey Doc, Help Me!") :) I understand I'm asking for a lot from one tool; and that in so doing it will mean s...

Could not agree more. "Be prepared" is a motto I still hold dear. My comments about "tactical" and "survivalist" were meant merely to distinguish me from people who live their lives fearing the worst. Paranoia does nothing to reduce the Limbaughian/Beckian othering of ...

Thanks for the replies thus far! Another consideration, as it will be either me or my wife CCW, she wants to make sure it has a good safety. (Also, considering this, I've ruled out a 357 because of recoil on a small pistol). Any thoughts on which of my pics have "unlikely to fire" in your ...

CCW Pistol Shopping in the Lone Star State

A few qualifiers: First, I've fired several 9mm and .45 over the years and have been around weapons; however, this will be my first purchase. Second, I will likely end up with two, one for home and one specifically for CCW. However, I would like my first to cover both uses as I don't have the capita...

Finally the Squeak is gearing up for production! ...As an innocent looking folder that complies with any possible regulations, this should be a great lightweight folder around the office or when traveling. I like to think of it as a ´universal opener of stuff´. http://spydercollector.files.wordpres...

G10 Scultiping - Urban: Help?!

Hi everyone! I recently came across the photo (on Knife-BST) below when doing a price comparison search for the Orange Urban. I'll be picking up a second one soon, and Brad's work on this Urban really appeals to me. I contacted Brad and he's not doing this kind of work anymore. Anybody know of anyon...

I'm sorry, but the Manix 2 XL and Li'l Temp 2 were still concept models, so I won't post pics of those. They need more time in development before I can share those pictures. I do feel your pain though, especially about the Li'l Temp 2. Wouter, can you give us any ideas how the LT2 compares to the o...

Not sure if this project has been dumped, but I'm actually really interested in the Jani-Song knife. Not sure if this would make it no-longer considered a bali-song knife, but I'd buy it either way. Here's a video for those of you not knowing what I'm rambling about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...
