Hi Bladesandbeverages,

The 3.5" blade version is called the CPK, which is the Canadian Pocket Knife. We made some protos, but never thought there was enough interest to go forward?

The PK is getting blackout Salt treatment before the Native 5? Profanity :worried
I’m in total agreement; as the Native 5 is my favorite knife (I have 10 Native 5 variations in my collection); however, I also love the UKPK; so I’ll get this version too.

Re: What Type of Scales Do You Prefer Poll

My favorite are the "smooth" FRN scales that are present on the UKPK.

In light of the post I just made, I find it interesting that you like the texture on the FRN UKPK scales. I can completely understand why someone would find it appealing; however, as someone on the Autism spectrum with a ...

Re: What Type of Scales Do You Prefer Poll

My three votes were for Carbon Fiber, G-10, and FRN in that order.

For Carbon Fiber, I mean full CF, preferably peel-ply. There's just a warmth to it in the hand, in addition to lightness, strength, and of course, that shimmer.

After that, I prefer G-10, as it again has a great tactile feel to it ...

Re: UKPK Salt Magnacut All Black

This is one of my big wants from the new reveal, but I really hope we have some time before release as I've had several devastating financial hits the past few weeks and really need a break (if I'd known the depth of what was coming, I'd have skipped my last two Spyderco purchases).

My newly-arrived Native 5 PlainEdge MagnaCut Salt has actually displaced my G-10 blackout Manix 2 Salt which I’ve been carrying daily since before Christmas (must be a record).

The most popular models will run out first, like the n5, i guess. Will the etching be "ERA MagnaCut"?
There was just a brand new run of the Native (my plain edge Native 5 Magnacut Salt has a date code of AZ), with CPM MagnaCut.

I would absolutely be fine with Native 1's grind/swedge in the Native 5 lightweight handle. The main thing I miss from the 1 is that blade, not the scales.

Re: Anyone else hoping for more steels/colors in the Lil Native LW?

I know I'm biased, but Eric really hit it out of the park with this one. Now that we're tooled, we can meet all of your preferences in color or steel. Also an opportunity for exclusives which broaden the choices.

As Nick said, it's a given that when we invest in FRN tooling, the opportunities for ...

I only purchase ambidextrous locks (backlock or CBBL) or non-locking knives. I’m a lefty and want to be able to use a lock as it was designed.

My only non-ambidextrous knife is my lefty Para 2.

My new Manix 2 G-10 DLC Salt hasn’t left my pocket since I got it. It’s got easily the best QC of any of the several hundred Spydies that have passed through my collection since the late 00s. I’m beginning to see why some people only own one knife. It’s going to take something really ...
