Re: Sage 6 opened in pocket and bit me good :)

This is why I prefer locks with a close bias, such as Back Locks and Ball Bearing Locks.

I’m definitely interested, but I’m also waiting for the PE Lightweight Native 5 Salt to show up again. I missed the first batch.

Re: MT46S MagnaMax SE Testing Thread

Crucible produced two heats of MagnaMax. Spyderco used the second for the "MagnaMax" mule. The more limited "Proto X" mule used the first heat. There were some small modifications attempted between the first and the second. These were prototype heats for analysis to determine if the steel hit the ...

Re: MT46P Testing Thread

Mine has a decent edge out of the box. Speaking of the box, it made quick work of shredding it and still cuts paper.

I think I’ll take it boating next.

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

I always seem to get my knives in spurts. C08P Harpy is on its way. Jumping on it while I can just in case it’s a one-and-done run (hints seemed to be dropped at Shot Show that while it’s a production model, it may not stick around long).

Re: Let's talk Mule Team quantities

I think MagnaMax brought in many buyers that normally don’t get mules. Hopefully, like myself, this expanded pool of interested parties was mostly filled with people who were aware of the Mule Team project, but were waiting for the right steel to come along to dive in. I would have dived in earlier ...

Re: MT46P/MT46S - Mule Team™ MagnaMax™ Release Info!

Hi,
I must be lucky.
I added my MT46S to my cart at 9:00 AM, paid via PayPal before the end of 9:01 AM, and received an order confirmation from Spyderco in less than a minute.
I followed the instructions received by email from Spyderco few days ago.
My Spyderco account and address were up to date ...

Re: MT46P/MT46S - Mule Team™ MagnaMax™ Release Info!

Good to keep looking under the scales also as the removable scales wick a bit of water underneath so it would be useful to keep a eye out for corrosion/rust spots

Thanks for the tip. I live in a pretty dry environment (which surprises me since I am on the Maine coast), and store my knives with ...

Re: MT46P/MT46S - Mule Team™ MagnaMax™ Release Info!

Do those of you who regularly buy mules keep swapping the scales and sheath to the current one you are testing? Just curious for the future. I could see myself grabbing a few more mules down the road.

Re: MT46P/MT46S - Mule Team™ MagnaMax™ Release Info!

I'm curious the percentage of buyers who got the sheath and scale kit along with their mule. With those both sold out alongside the mules, I am betting it was pretty high.

Hopefully the upgraded site can handle the extra traffic. Despite being on the forum for a decade, this is my first mule. The closest I've ever had before now was one of the old Swicks without scales.

I hope this issue with their card payment processor is resolved before the drop.

I was thinking the same thing. I’d rather the drop be delayed than have people miss out for not having PayPal.
