Sorry Samo - saw this thread a bit late.
I bought an Etrex to go "Geocaching" a few months ago, it's a great hobby, check out www.geocache.com
A quick check there shows over 30 Geocaches in your area! Hunt em down! :-)

Please please make a black bladed Gunting. That huge shiny ramp just draws too much attention to it when its on a belt.

I didn't know you could "blue" stainless steel? These sound great. Are they available as an accessory?

I think for some it's a major consideration. It's a strong selling point on Sebenzas. It makes the knife more personal to me, if I can idly sit and strip it, clean it, polish out tiny pivot marks etc. I've had a Large Dyad apart, that was fun! And the recent aquisition of a "R", despite it...

What is "shell"

What is the source of the "shell" in a root beer shell inlaid Native? Is it a creature or something artificial?

Well done Nick, that could well be the biggest single collection over here! That's dedication when they cost almost twice as much on this island.
I have 19 so I'm trying to catch up.

Many thanks Jonathan - I've been on to Joe and he is seeking me out a Shi-Lin.

Just love that blade shape. I'd buy a white G10 or Micarta Spydie leaf-blade too if they ever made one. Is there another respected Chinese knifemaker Spyderco could do a collaboration with?

I have a blue one, it's my posh knife, on the rare occasions I put a suit on. It's very much a "Gentleman's Penknife", very people friendly, I've never had anyone shirk away from it the way they do from most of my other Spydies. It just looks sophisticated, and makes a good slicer / spread...

Oooops - can't edit thread - the Boker Herbst has a SINGLE s/steel liner on the clip side, same as the Spyderco Herbst, not double liners as I have said above.

C53 Herbst comparisons

I've just got hold of a Ti Herbst so would like to offer an amateur comparison between the Boker and Spyderco versions. Specs. of the Spydie Herbst are in the catalogue. Specs. of the Boker - a 440c blade with a 2.8" hollow ground cutting edge, 3mm thick, 11mm spyderhole. Blade marked "SOL...
