Those CF scales are very nice.

It's just funny to me how you can easily purchase an insanely sharp kitchen knife that will do way more damage than a dull China decoration. They made it seem like these were very dangerous weapons.

Like I said, maybe get both. They sell easily if you ever need to. The compression lock is superior in my opinion. PM2 is sized better for EDC as well. By thin I meant the grind and fine tip. I would never pry with a pocket knife.

PM2 is a better knife. I love mine but it's not my choice for EDC. It's my EDDC ( Defensive ) but I don't think that style of blade is the best for daily cutting chores. It's a little thin for hard use. Get both, that's what I do when I can't decide.

I guess for me, a small folding knife from a quality maker should be close to perfect out of the box. I'm sending it back to the dealer and getting a Superleaf instead. I know it's a totally different blade but I wanted it as well.

My current pocket light is a 4Sevens Preon 2. I also use a bunch on Fenix lights but most are CR123 powered.

Ahh so it is normal. This is the problem with ordering things without handling them first. I love the blade but I don't know if I can stand it being like that.

Also, the pivot screw has brownish gunk on the threads, is that some kind of factory thread locker ?

I like Benchmade knives. The quality is great and I think they have a decent selection of blade types. Fairly pricey but I find Spyderco to be pricey as well.

The dealer I buy from has sales all the time and quite often you can find BM stuff at great prices. You just need to shop around.

I was a Surefire guy untill Fenix came into my life. They make great stuff and the prices are a little better. So yeah, check out the Fenix line !

Thanks guys, I'm happy with it. It's got this quality feel to it, like some craftsman polished all the edges by hand.

Got my Forester today. Took a few basic shots of it with some of my other fixed blades. Don't worry, the SOG didn't touch it ! :D
