The compression lock is one of the strongest locks on the market. To defeat the compression lock you would have to crush the the section of liner throughout the stop pin.

Im sending in a couple of my blades to spyderco to get them re-sharpened. I have no problem with waiting for them, but I was just wondering how long it will take. If you guys can tell me how long it took for you that would be awesome.

i have an unused "back-up" 20cp, but i would probably only trade it for a m390 because i don't currently own the m390 model and blue is my favorite color.

EZ-Bake, that looks real good to me. it makes me want to give royal blue a try on my M4 manix2.

question: how long ago did you dye the scales? i'm interested in long term durability of the dye.

If you don't want stainless as a property it is always better not to have it simply because it costs to get. If I was getting M4 in a blade I would not want it undersoaked I would run it as it was designed for a cutting tool at 66+ HRC. But unfortunately I can not convince Sal to just make knives ...

i prefer med/heavy-heavy lock back pressure. i don't like blades that are too easy to open.

my byrd cara cara 2 G10 has a good spring tension.

I'm really surprised how many of you believe that one person's/officer's opinion about what is in the "public interest" is a valid substitute for following the law.

i'm not claiming the officer or the OP is right or wrong, just putting myself in both of their shoes.

think about it like this ...

Victor was cited for the offense he actually committed. The knife was not deemed illegal but was confiscated anyway. To take someone's property without legal cause is illegal even if you say it can be collected later.

this is why i carry my knife in my pocket and not clipped on my pocket.

p.s. carrying a knife exposed in NYC is illegal.
