Para and Para 2 it's the pinch flick to close if I am doing it one handed usually.

I don't really flick it hard either, just enough to close the blade most of the way usually and then just close it with my thumb.

Same here with my Para2. Can hardly call it a flick, just a slight motion is enough ...

(hmm, this is my 25th post :D )

I like Spyderco for the way they treat their customers, which you can see on this forum. I don't think there are many other companies out there who interact so closely as Spyderco does.

Besides that... The knives they make are just awesome ;)

Do you have any idea what the total length of this knife is?

Would be nice if it is 11" max, then it would be legal here ;)

Also consider the Cat, it's about the same size as the Ambitious.

Only 1 answer I can give to this question: Because I can.

There really is no need for an expensive knife for the things I do with them, but since I can afford it, why shouldn't I? It makes me feel better, so it's worth it for me :)

Only knife that I have twice is a ladybug. Don't think I'll be buying multiples of any other knife I already have.

Then again, when I bought my first spydie last year, I never thought I would have 11 by now, so I probably shouldn't say never ;)

Maybe this helps you, the 2 knives you have + a Sage and Chaparral:

Whichever one you choose, they're both great!

I would suggest a Sage (I prefer the 1, just love the CF) or a Native 5. Both about the size of a Delica, and both are of very high quality.

Other options could be a Caly or a UKPK.

I carry my Sage1 and Para2 mostly, but the one I "abuse" most is my SE Pacific salt.

Just wondering if it would fit when you fold it in, a normal dragonfly already has a lot of the blade exposed when folded in.

It says that damage caused by disassembling voids the warranty, not disassembling itself.

My Sage 1 used to be my EDC, but the Para2 I received today might replace it. Or I will just rotate between them ;)

Always using my (yellow) Pacific Salt SE when gardening. Won't have to worry about rust, the yellow is easy to spot and SE makes cutting through plants a lot easier ;)

You could use a salt if you think a pacific is too big. I don't really like to use a hawkbill (tasman, spyderhawk) in the garden ...

I really liked the Chaparral, Native 5 and the H1 Dragonfly. A lot of other knives were very nice as well, but not the type of knives I would buy.
