Re: Almost lost my hand, possibly still might.

I'm cleared to go back to Indiana. Have a consult in Louisville, KY on Monday with supposedly some of the best hand doctors in the country. My ride should be here shortly.

Re: Almost lost my hand, possibly still might.

I pray you heal quickly. I just recovered from a much less severe injury and surgery on my finger. I found the injury and the surgery to be less painful overall compared to getting my hand strength back after the cast/splint was off. I'm seriously dreading physical therapy. The complications have p...

Re: Almost lost my hand, possibly still might.

Thank you everyone for the kind thoughts. I do appreciate them very much. Yes, the ride to the hospital was unpleasant to say the least. Between learning to deal with pain from previous experiences and probably shock I made it without too much difficulty. My guys were worried though... I'm a retired...

Re: Almost lost my hand, possibly still might.

So sorry to hear, hope it turns the corner and heals up, breaking hands and feet are tough, they're definitely taken for granted....until you can't use them! Praying for a great recovery, and for your mental wellbeing. I have to agree. We take a lot for granted. I've lived a pretty "interestin...

Almost lost my hand, possibly still might.

Thank you to whomever let out the word I was injured and apologies for taking so long to respond to the well wishes. Gather round and learn from my mistakes..... I was out of state doing an appraisal and pickup of several hundred firearms, knives, ammo and accessories ....and one very large 700+ pou...

Thank you all very much for your kind replies. I wanted to share 1 more. CD6D29F3-2E28-459D-AD14-63FE5E564EBA.jpeg This is a Winchester Model 94 30/30. As best as I can tell by serial number; it was manufactured in 1927 or 1928. This was my father’s gun, his stepfather bought it for him when he was...

Used Ballistol for years on guns, knives, etc....No issues at all. It's good to go.

Re: Anyone watch Project Farm on YouTube?

Not as annoyingly verbose as most reviewers. I'll check out more of his stuff and see how it goes. Thanks for mentioning the channel.

As far as the content, I have the Irwin, Channellock and Dewalt...I prefer the Irwin above the others by a wide margin and use them almost daily in the shop.

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

Just picked up another Sterling Arms/Armalite AR-180 with 2-20rd and 2-40rd magazines. Friend with a local gunshop had it come in and had no idea what it was (he's young and doesn't know a lot about older gear) so I got the call to explain what/where/why of it. Asked what he was going to price it at...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

Wellllll.... I just bought a 1980's 10ga double barrel and 400 rounds of ammo. Going to cut it down to 22in barrels and put Remington screw-in chokes in. Will be a handy turkey gun or a beastly home defense gun.... Lol...looking in my ammo stash I found a half case of 10ga slugs so I might just add...

I've got them talking to my Mayo Clinic doctor as fallback. Cincinnati/UC? They handled my cranial tuberculosis years ago, probably saved my life. No, Mayo in Rochester, MN. I'm a frequent patient up there and deal straight with the doctors via phone or video calls almost weekly. My doctor here is ...

Hope they can get you figured out and get you well and back home.
Been dealing with this since late 2008 with little to no answers so I'm not going to hold my breath but I do appreciate the sentiment. Thank you.

Hey Paul, Any update on his recovery? Hope all is going well and on the up and up with whatever his situation is! I'm not Paul but I'll answer the question. (lol) I'm alive. Had multiple seizures and was found out cold in my front yard then ended up here in the hospital. Lots of tests going on and ...

Various ones depending on my loadout....Maxpedition, Swiss Army/Victorinox, High Sierra, Kifaru, Kemp...and a couple of others. They all serve their purpose and I've worn out several of various makers over the last 30 years. Pick one that is comfortable and carries your gear oriented to your prefere...

Re: AR lower receiver

I've built a few rifles using their lowers for customers/friends...quality is very good but be assured they have very tight tolerances and that can create problems with assembly. My suggestion is to have a couple LPK's (lower parts kits) available to be able to swap things around for the fit adjustm...
