Re: Upping the price.

Another example of the price differential. I’m thinking of getting a watch pocket folder with a wharncliffe blade. The main choices seem to be the Lil Native, Baby Banter or Mini Pyrite. I like the Lil Native (I think I have 2), and I’m sure the wharnie will be a great blade, but it’s literally 3-4x...

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run

Happy to get an order in at KSF today, as I had a $20 shop credit there. So $92 all in for me. They're still in stock. Now that Spyderco is re-releasing classic salt models in updated steels, when can we get a Spyderhawk in Magnacut or LC200N? I also wouldn't mind seeing some salt fixed blades in th...

Re: Upping the price.

Certainly becoming harder to justify buying Spyderco. I just bought these three Maxace products for the same price as a Lil Temp in VG10 and FRN.

Anyone know if you preorder from a site like KC or BHQ if you lock in the listed price?
Preorder prices on KC should be locked in. I'd guess the same is true of BHQ, but I don't have experience.

Re: Bodacious Discussion

I love the concept, but I'm definitely in the camp of thinking it needs a more contoured handle, and it also needs more interesting steel for me to dig into my pockets for it.

I CruConCarta version would have me opening my purse strings.

Re: Reveal 14 Live!

Great Reveal. Very glad to see expanding magnacut lightweight and crucarta lines. Wish the stretch xl was in magnacut, and will wait on a more interesting steel for the bodacious (crucarta?). Given we’re already in mid-October, I also wonder how many of these knives will actually be available at the...

Why?
Just because they’re harder to disassemble and reassemble, and there’s a much smaller chance of the blade swap working. If you’re confident in your abilities to put them back together, then sure, have a go, but don’t bank on it working.

Re: Will Factory Switch Blades/Scales Between Knives? (Same Model)

If you want Golden to do it, then why ask here? Just ask them.

If you’re considering doing it yourself, my advice, stemming from bitter experience is don’t try to do blade swaps on lockbacks. On others, sure give it a go and see if it works.

Re: MagnaCut in Seki knives

I have far too many knives. A really silly number. And more of them are Spydercos than any other make, by quite some distance. I won’t be buying many more knives in future. BUT, I could be tempted out of self-imposed exile by lightweight folders in magnacut, and the lightweight Stretch XL or lightwe...

Re: Next GOLDEN ERA Sprint Run Desired?

Or....just make a newer, modern version full size Tim Wegner with K390 and be done with it! ;) Tim Wegners designs were eventually sold through a brand called “blade tech” so I’m not sure if Spyderco would ever be able to (or willing to) remake any of his designs but I would absolutely love to have...

I'm not very fussed about the Native, but I'd like to see a variety of lightweight models. My first choice would be a Stretch 2 XL lwt.

Re: Stretch 2 XL in grey G10 and CruWear steel!

Late to the party on this one. If they put a CruWear (or Magnacut) blade in a Stretch 2 XL lightweight, I'd certainly buy one. If they kept the price down (unlikely), I'd get one and a spare.

Re: It’s time for a green salt Dyad !

A full-sized lightweight dyad would be great. I have the lightweight Jr, and like it, but it's too small to really make full use of the serrated blade, and the G10 / steel-liners dyad is too heavy.

Salt-grade in LC200N or Magnacut even better. No need for a blade coating.

Re: Manix 2 XL St.Nicks Knives Exclusive

Still off topic - has anyone successfully done this swap? I tried it with both Rex45 and S110V blades into a CQI Fluted TI handle. neither of them felt right. The detent was mushy and sticky in both cases. Like the detent hole in the blade was a slightly different size. The fluted TI would look ama...

Off topic but is it worth getting upcoming Millie with the Military 2 right around the corner?
No. It’s a terrible idea. No one should buy one!

Except me - I’ve wanted a blade in a tough steel to swap into a ti Millie since forever. :winking-tongue
