I'm into the hard use style folders. Carry an SnG everyday. I do have my Case small texas toothpick with kentucky bluegrass for dress slacks, but that doesn't happen very often.

I guess its just fun to talk about and boast a knife's lock strength. I agree it's very interesting to debate folders strength. It is human nature to have the best of the best. However I would not take the chance of breaking a folding knife, even the strongest one. Because well, a broken knife leav...

I wouldn't batton with any folder even with my striders. With that being said, If you are looking for a hard use spyderco. Look at any incarnation of the manix or manix 2, superleaf, gayle bradley, or wait for the Tuff to be released. The toughest out of those choices would be the gayle bradley imo....

Thank you for the response Mongatu! I've never played with a spyderco paramilitary 2, but I got the chance to flip open an endura a few times, and this definitely seems a lot harder to open and a lot less smooth. Maybe I'm just not used to it, but there might be a problem. I uploaded a youtube vide...

Mine was Almost impossible to open when i first got it. I found there to be a tolerance issue with mine. If you don't already know the para 2 uses a pivot bushing system to give 0 friction opening. The steel liners tighten onto the pivot instead of the blade tang. http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums...

I never use the choils on my spyderco's. Like in that rock salt picture above, I really am not comfortable with my thumb positioned behind my pointer finger. There is a lot less control for me and less power. Also the bottom forward choils that spyderco tends to create are too small for thick finger...
