I just bought a sharpmaker today and it's pretty nice, tested it out on some old beater knives and I've got them sharper than they came from the factory....Really easy to use and comes with a helpful dvd.

My Persistence ended up being 1/16" ...I did strip the last one and i got it out by carefully cutting a slot in the head of the screw with a hacksaw so i could get a flathead in there... One thing I don't like about the chinese knives is the quality of the hardware. Luckily I have some more screws ...

I only have 1 Chinese knife that I actually carry sometimes and it is the persistence. The knife is great quality for the $$, spyderco defiantly has their QC right for the chinese knives.

I prefer to buy Canadian and US products and I don't mind spending the extra $$ for it. But I well most likely ...
