IIRC, Spyderco decided to stop selling serrated versions of quite a few models at about the same time they were switching to the S30V Manix 2. I'm not sure on the specifics, but there might not be a serrated S30V Manix 2. (All that is based on some pretty vague memories, though, so don't take it as ...

+1

I'm a fan of the old style clips as well.

(OTOH, I also liked the exposed tang, which seemed to be pretty thoroughly reviled, so my opinion may not be worth much... :D )

I kinda miss the finer tip on the earlier models (and I say that as someone who owns an Endura 3 with a broken tip; my own stupid fault.)

Has this become technically (financially) feasible or will the Yojimbo 2 in S90V be significantly more expensive because of this innovation? ...or will they just modify the grind? hickster Isn't a hollow ground blade actually quite a bit easier to manufacture than a flat ground one? I know the reas...

I knew a guy that was working on a project ( pre 9/11 when we weren't as broke) to set up bases on the moon for something called helium 3. Joe Helium-3 is an isotope of Helium that is extremely rare on Earth, but potentially quite valuable as a fuel for fusion reactors because, unlike our current f...

The Rock Lobster had some resemblance to a straight razor, but IIRC, it was flat ground. The Jason Breeden Rescue has a similar blade shape, and is also hollow ground, per the OP's specification.

The Rescue also has the advantage of being significantly cheaper, and still in production.

Probably in the minority here, but I'd love to see a new variant with a FFG blade, and the Endura 3-style pinned construction, linerless handles, and barrel-bolt clip.

When I'm picking out an EDC, one of the most important considerations is "how much fun is this knife to play with?" Back and Mid-lock knives, by virtue of being under constant spring tension, are much less interesting to mess around with than designs that allow free rotation of the blade a...

I can't speak directly to the Delica, but I've had two Endura Waves that have come with incredibly obtuse factory bevels. (I don't have a really good way of measuring angles, but my best guess was between 55 and 60 degrees inclusive for the bevel.) If your Delica is anywhere near that bad, you won't...

There's a shop in downtown Frederick called Edgeworks that's decent. Prices are 20-30% higher than online (which is pretty normal for B & M stores) but they've got a pretty good selection. The guys who work there will quite happily talk about knives all day, so it's fun to visit even if you're n...

AWESOME!!! :D :D :D

There are plenty of tough folders out there, but I have yet to find one that comes anywhere close to the C95's combination of outstanding ergonomics, solid feel, and fantastic slicing ability.

If it was stated any other way, just think of the repercussions that would ensue. Nest a steel liner in there somewhere, or use the framelock spring in the compression device? I remember reading that putting Ti and steel components next to each other is a bad idea. Ti is so much softer that they tend to gall badly, especially after the Ti develops an oxide layer. That said, I'm ...

I love my Military, though I am looking forward to seeing what improvements come with the 2. The only issue I've ever had with mine was using it in the desert in Kuwait.
