2005 Catalog

Just got my '05 catalog today in the mail. There are a couple of great new knives that I didn't even know were coming out. There's also the best blade steel chart I've ever seen in a catalog. Great job Spyderco! ;)

Sal, thanks for putting satin finishes on your knives. Thats' the first factor I consider when purchasing a knife. A few other manufactures have lost me as a customer because they've switched to bead blasting their blades. :)

You're right. I stopped carrying my SERE 2000 because it was way too heavy/bulky. I'm patiently awaiting for the latest version of the Progrip to arrive. I prefer a pocket carry of 3-4oz. and 4" closed with a 3" blade.

Jim, from what you originally posted, it pretty much tells me that you are very passionate about your beliefs. You are right, I don't know what you saw in the hallway, but I don't believe that it wa...

Thombrogan, intelligent design is popular only because it offers a level of identification that cannot be reached. Much the same way that religion is viewed. Orson Wells once said,"Knowing the answer takes the fun out of mystery."

Yeah, Yeah, I know it fun to believe in ghosts and the such. Just as everyone once believed that the world was flat, or that volcanoes were gods. For those who think that ghosts exist, why don't you start teaching this idea to your children. You wouldn't want to leave them out of the "supernatu...

There are no such things as ghosts. I am really surprised at some of you. I all ways come to believe that members of these knife forums were of above average intelligence. I am shocked to be reading these stories. I have been to many so called "haunted" places in my early years as an adult...

Harpy. It has a thicker blade and I really like the heft. I was sent one by mistake a few years ago, and I played with it for a while before sending it back.

Your son won't need a fixed blade for Ranger School but he could use a durable folder. I'd recommend him a Spyderco Endura. When he graduates from Ranger School, I'd give him something nice like Benchmade Nimravus to take back and use in his unit. When I went to Ranger School, fixed blades were not ...
