if you really want to go the cheaper route, check out the zebra f-701 pen sold at wallyworld.
it's a clicky, writes fairly well, is mostly metal constuction, and is only @ $6.00.

I second this one. It can be slightly tweaked to fit Fisher refills too. I carry mine every day.

I got lucky and happened to check amazon a while back and found a seller selling their last few Delica trainers for $30. Haven't seen anything that good since, but it's worth checking.

H1 Dragonfly 2 pre-order

Well I've waited all day and no one's mentioned it yet, but for those who were waiting, knifecenter.com has begun taking pre-orders for the H1 Dragonfly :D . Not sure how long this has been going on but I just saw it today. Can't wait!
So who else pre ordered theirs?

just roll up the highs slightly around 7khz or so -- its been my experiences that this makes the affordable martins of today sound indistinguishable from the unaffordable martins of today. Ya I agree for sure. I've always been able to get the highs to sing more on recordings, whether close miking o...

My main acoustic for years has been the Martin DCX-1E. I've been extremely happy with it. I too slaved away in food service to save the roughly $600 dollars it took to buy when I was younger :D . One of the things that I was most impressed about is the way it maintains the signature bassy, full tone...

No problem! As you can see from the picture, I like PE for the tasks my Crickets get used for. IWB carry is no problem at all with the thin profile and long steel clip. I carry mine clipless in the watch pocket of my jeans, but wouldn't hesitate to carry it IWB.

While I've heard good things about both, you can't question the longevity of Honda products- from their cars and bikes to their lawnmowers etc. My first bike was a 1986 Honda XR100, which starts in one kick to this day, after years and years of hard riding. I generally steer people toward Honda if t...

I believe the Streamlight PT-1L falls within your criteria. I've had mine for a year and I've been happy with it.

I don't have a SE Cricket but I have two PE ones (SS and FRN). They'll definitely do all the things you listed very well. I never considered this until I read your post, but I'll bet carrying a PE and SE Cricket would make a pretty cool EDC combo.
