Another great reason to love my knife

I don't post here much, but I check it every now and then. The other day, however, I thought of this place when I woke up to get ready for work. I was about 30 minutes from leaving when I realized that the night before I spilled water all over my Sage 1. I saw a little discoloring on the tang, and d...

I'd go for a Sage 1. Just a bit grippier than the Sage 2, and since the liner is stainless steel and not titanium, I can flick the knife guilt-free. Just a thought. You would also probably never break the Sage 1.

many people collect many and still use the delica the most. it's definitely a favorite and a g-10 version would be an awesome upgrade

A wire clip would be nice... seems we have plenty of 3.5" knives with hourglass clips.

Caly 3.5 G10 vs CF

Just wondering what those of you who have both of these knives think about the difference between the two. Does the loss of grip make the VG10 more appealing, or do the ergonomics of the knife eliminate that problem? Which do you prefer to carry and why? I have searched for a thread like this and di...

in my sage 1 it is the dip in the back of the blade at the stop pin. the para 2 has the same issue, while the para 1 is flat and flush with the knife's back while open.

one quip about knives with open construction.

i have a sage 1, and i'm assuming the same problem is present on the 2 and knives like the para 2. It is uncomfortable to grip the sage hard because of the open construction, but it is particularly bad around the blade jimping: this is a problem i believe is caused by creating an aesthetic 'flush' a...

I would love that t-shirt if it simply said, "All Creatures Have Knives". I was writing out a long post, but for the sake of everyone that would in turn read it, I chose not to :) I am a Christian. There. But let's talk about the T-shirt, not the religious or philosophical stuff. This is ...

agreed in full. bladeplay is more of an issue to me than lock strength because i am reasonable with my knives and can avoid breaking my lock (not that i could break my Sage 1 if i tried!), but can't always avoid the play (not that the Sage has any). Steel is a minor minor nitpicky thing when it come...

there is a difference between proper grammar and colloquially acceptable language. This is not an English paper, but it should contain understandable thoughts arranged in an organized manner. Allow for the misuse of you're, your, and yore; their, they're, and there; etc. What is important is that th...

Sage 1: Perfectly smooth, sleek without looking unusably nice, good grip, perfect ergonomics, sharp steel, balanced grind, wire clip, and strong lock. there is nothing missing in this knife. Also replaceable since it's normal production.

then we will hear of strength tests of the fur and learn to what extent it can be polished... will the clip holes drill into the fur alone or the liner behind it? Because that could be a PROBLEM.

it's about that time

The Sage 4 has been well-received into the Sage family. This means that the new Sage is to be conceived soon, correct? Is there any further speculation on the lock type? Last I heard, they were determining between 3 locks, but had not chosen yet. Is that still the case? I'm hoping the newest sage is...

comparing ergos

so i have a delica and a sage 1, both of which i love. my question is this: if i find the grip of the delica comfortable, and the grip of the sage behind the choil comfortable, will i find the grip behind the choil on the native 5 comfortable as well? I like the presence of choils, but for the most ...

thickness gives extra strength in prying... and other things you shouldnt do with a folder. it's benefits are that it does make the blade stronger, thick blades look very nice, and often times, in cases such as the Para 2, still slice extremely well. sometimes it's more about the grind and blade geo...
