Re: An observation regarding H1
I've own many H1 knives and over the years gave them away to friends. I have always liked the steel. I used it just the same as other knife steels and at the end of the day I needed a touchup where other steels didn't. However H1 needed less strokes on the touch ups than the other steels. After a fe...

Re: How do you use the Ultra Fine?
I used to have a UF bench stone and ended up selling it. Kinda with I had it now. Today I would use it just to remove any burr that might be on the edge. Generally I only sharpen to 600 grit.

Re: Anyone else strop there folders?
I strop very little. If I have a burr I just can't get rid of than I will. Generally I can maintain with just a kitchen steel.

Re: The best EDC Knife
I've carried a lot of Spyderco blades over the years. I thought til about 5 months ago the Delica was the king EDC. Perfect size, great egos, different blade steels to choose from. Even after carrying the PM2,superleaf,Endura,UKpen,dragonfly,Pacific Salt,Police, and a Rescue the Delica seem right. 5 ...

Re: Spyderco Fire Steel?
The interesting thing about fire steels is that they are an extreme example of hobbyist distortion of a practical issue. The arguments for them over much more effective fire starting tools are not justified, often heavily distorted, repeated without verification and often strongly advocated without...

Re: What's The Verdict on CTS-BD1?
I have found BD1 to be a great steel in the two offering I have. Both the UKPen and the manix lightweight I've carried for a year with no problem. I am still running the factory bevels and just light passes on a kitchen steel keeps them hair popping sharp.

Who owns a Enuff?
And uses it? It's been on my list and may happen this year. Anyone have a in hand picture and maybe a side by side to a delica/endura?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Spend more time with the coarse stone before you move to the next. Make sure any burr is gone before you move to the next grit.

Re: Who else EDC's a UK Pen?
I think I would like any UKPK but the drop point sells it to me the most. Flat ground S30V G-10 would make the Christmas list.

Who else EDC's a UK Pen?
I received a combo edge drop point in trade about 4 months ago. Before this knife the delica has been the best edc for me. I was to the point of ordering a new Delica when this trade came in. The Pen knife was like new never sharpened for $25 shipped. Why not? Well my delica order never happened. I'...

I've been using DMT stones as of late. I've been stopping with the red 600 grit stone. Leaves a great edge.

Re: How many edge touchups before you back bevel again?
Once I set my bevel at about 18 degrees I use a kitchen steel. Generally don't have to sharpen again for about 4-6 months and I steel the edge daily.

Re: Sway me Stretch in SuperBlue or ZDP-189
I have tried ZDP and prefer VG-10. As far as SB I haven't tried yet however I'm not a fan of carbon steels of EDC. I knives get wet and dirty I don't clean them til the end of the day. SB would be a rust bucket by the end of the day for me.

Wow!! Great work! How are you "digging" out the spoon. I've heard of burning them out and well as scooping them out.

Re: Endura Every Day for a Year.
Love the Endura! 3 years ago I purchased a blue one as well. Carried it for a year then gave it to a friend which he still carries everyday. Today I received a orange Endura in the mail from the trade. All I can say is... I'm keeping this one!
