I saw a show one time on Discovery channel about an older man who had recently retired to Canada. Only a few weeks after moving there he got lost in the wild not too far from his home, which he didn't find out till later. He went into the forest completely unprepared for an emergency except for one ...

Got my blue Salsa!

I bought a blue Salsa today with a 50/50 edge. It's a sweet little knife. Does anyone else have an opinion?

Which one for EDC?

I have found a new method to determine which Spyderco to use as my EDC. I'll narrow the decision down to my two fav's and then I will let my family have a vote I have a wife and two children. They each pick their favorite and the majority wins. Does anyone else have a particular way to decide?

I own two Surefire lights, the older 6P and I just got an E1 Executive a few weeks ago. Yes they are expensive but they are the brightest flashlights made. The lithium batteries are not cheap either.

I have a Khalsa with Micarta handles and SE. I love the way it fits in my hand and if I'm not mistaken, the blade is GIN-1. I never carry mine because the clip was removed (by me) and while attempting to replace it, I stripped the threads. Therefore, no clip. Due to its awkward shape, finding a shea...

I was so busy defending the Shabaria, I forgot to post my least favorite. I would say the only Spyderco in my collection that I never carry is the Jess Horn lightweight. To me, it just kinda seems like an old Case or Buck hunting knife with an FRN handle put on. Believe it or not, it happened to be ...

Off the subject of fine cutlery...I am a Loss Prevention Manager and I get to witness crimes being committed just about everyday. It's coooool to watch too. Almost like the video footage clips you see on TV. The only difference is after someone shoplifts from my store, I get to run and snatch them u...

The Shabaria is very easy to flick open. Most of my FRNs, I use the hole. Jot Singh Khalsa will flick open pretty quickly also.

If you can find one, a G-10 Rookie would be a good selection. While it is larger than most of the others mentioned, it's what I feel to be a good, compact size. I bought one at a sporting goods shop a couple of years ago for about $95.

Got my lime green Jester!

I bought a Jester from Bayou Lafourche Knife Works about a week ago. It is one sweet little knife. Very sharp(of course) and comfortable to grip. I am not a big fan of small knives, but I recommend this one to everybody.

For those of you who do not like the Shabaria, you must not have ever handled one. I currently own 12 Spydercos and the Shabaria is my definite favorite. I carry it just about everyday. It has a perfect fit and the blade is just something wicked. Also, very sharp. VG-10 is hard to beat. As far as a ...

Try to use a standard pencil eraser on the rust spots if they aren't deep. Also, the Tuff-Cloth works very well. If you don't want it too concentrated, the cloth will dry out in the package.

I thought you weren't going to post anymore. Why would you call us morons? Those of us on this forum simply appreciate quality and art. Spyderco happens to offer both. Even if most of their products are made in Japan, they are still of the highest quality.

I carry three most times myself...Shabaria in my right front pocket, Rescue in my back right pocket and a Microtech Kestrel in a nylon sheath horizontally on my belt. I will sometimes carry 5 or 6 knives at one time just to see how creative and crafty I can be.

I own two autos...a Robbie Dalton "Red Devil" and a Microtech "Kestrel". They are both superb knives, but technically the simplicity of a Spyderco is unsurpassed. I can open my Shabaria about as quickly as either of my autos. More than anything, I can impress my friends with the ...

I try to by mainly cargo pants with flaps covering the rear pockets. That helps out a lot. Also, BDU trousers are the best. I usually carry three knives on my person, but always at least two.
