I was under the impression that the original chinook remains the strongest lock that spyderco has tested. I could be wrong though.

Creative offers some pretty good options, though i have had my Harddrive die. The larger players by Creative are nice because they use a full sized laptop floppy, so its pretty easy to change around the storage size. Purchasing a 20gb limit model, and then swapping in an 80gb harddrive is not very d...

heya, and welcome to the forums! i'll start off by saying that i dont have a stretch, so i can't really offer much help with the inserts, other than i'm a big fan of normal superglue for things like this :D . for the blade action, try a good cleaning with warm soapy water, and then justa little bit ...

Hey gull wing, im not speaking for green cobra, but i think he meant that HIS question was a bonehead question, but that he was asking it anyway to rule it out as a possibility. as in "sorry if this seems obvious, but, could they be bronze washers that are oxidized?". i only replied to thi...

thats kind of what i figured, that the prisoners could eat like kings but the officers had to take whatever they got. theres something very very wrong with that picture.

wow, hotdogs for breakfast, thats downright aweful. makes me wonder what the prisoners eat, but its probably pretty good because of all the lawsuits. ive always wondered about the food offered to inmates though. take care my brother, stay safe, and go have a big stack of pancakes, i demand it <img s...

hi, i had the same thing happen with a buck alpha hunter of mine, it passed spinewack but failed occasionally. try holding the handle at a 45 degree angle, with the point down, and stab it into a piece of wood. kind of like an upside down spinewack on just the back of the point, but more of a stabbi...

all i can say is that every time someone buys a powerglide, a gargoyle emerges from the shadows and strangles someone. that has to be the sorriest excuse for a knife ever. i often play around with it before i go out knife shopping to remind myself not to buy blindly again.

hi, welcome to the forums. first off, id say that spydercos cover a wide range of tasks. for example, while the meerkat is razor sharp and has great egronomics, it is not a super strong blade. i can make the lock fail if i press on the spine hard enough. The chinook however is built like a tank, and...

while that may be the way it is in the U.K., it is certainly not like that in America. If you dont like a company, you move on. I believe that this forum is a bit more sinister than you believe. Think about it, some of the most knife knowledgable people willing to communicate with spyderco for free....

Sal telling us that there is going to be a warrenty and repair delay isn't all that helpful. Those of us who frequent the forums make up a small percentage of users. Customers deserve good customer service, period. I had a problem with a chinook, sent Mike an email, which he never replied to, and ca...
