Here's a higher res copy that should work better for wallpaper: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/408/seaofcolorbigger.jpg/ Jabba, the colors do pop, but looking at the royal blue PM2 in my hand I have to say that the color in the image is much brighter and lighter hue, more like the Sage 3 blue...

Mine was in the mail box waiting. Looks very nice, no apparent blemishes, blade is centered.
I love that compression lock. Makes one-handed closure a breeze. The royal blue is beautiful, however, I don't feel any richer...

*This Royal Blue is deeper than the Sage 3 blue.

One thing not addressed here: Did you by any chance lay down the box and cut it out as the blade dragged on another surface, or did you hold it up and try to make a plate in the air?

And since it was Domino's was there any pizza residue in the box--that might account for the dulling....

I was going to say that I don't fool around with any of them. I observe how they work, keep them clean, and leave them alone. However, I see that what you really meant is do we mindlessly, inanely, stuporously, lip-dribblingly operate them because they feel good somehow..... Therefor, I fool around ...

Are ya'll trying to taste test blade steel or test it for sharpness? I guess I dont understand this "flavor" thing. I just want to try some pure Japanese carbon steel that will take an even sharper edge than Super Blue. VG-10 I recommend rereading the entire thread and then reading betwee...

Not meaning to derail, but: My interest was peaked when I read that Sal wrote that Micarta would shrink in Colorado's dry atmosphere. The 35-year average historic morning/afternoon humidity for the Denver area (not far from Golden, little lower in elevation) is 67%RH morning, 40%RH afternoon. If mic...

Catalog not that large. Amount of text even smaller. I long for the days of manual proofreading by reading backwards. This one would have been caught pretty quick. :)

A purely technical review

Here is a review I posted on Amazon for the iGaging Angle Cube (also have one on WE forum): http://www.amazon.com/review/RV5PZG16YB48W/ref=cm_cr_pr_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B002LL0BIC&nodeID=&tag=&linkCode= I use mine often, and even used it the other day to verify the slope of my roof. :)

I have to say thats entirely subjective. It depends on the firearm being used, and the shooter. To say one caliber is more accurate than another is hogwash. In a ransom rest a .45, 9mm, whatever will hit the same place every time. The shooters proficiency with dealing with recoil is what may determ...

Yes, good luck to you both. I'm sure you new direction will far outweigh the exchange of front-range mosquitos for SC gigantus mosquitus, chiggers, noseeums, and other stealthy irritants. The winters are more pleasant, the hurricanes more windy. :)

It's irrelevant really. Most crashes involve moving targets or angles. At 120mph most cars will hit things that have less mass than a stationary wall or hit them at an angle which will reduce the blow significantly. There was one case in racing history that I can't recall but the driver, in his 40'...

Potato peels have dirt on them, and dirt is notorious for being HORRIBLE on edges. Hmmm, isn't this why potato peelers were invented? It's a unitasker but worth it, to me. They can be sharpened with a SM rod and they are faster and safer than a knife. Besides, I like catsup with my french fries, no...

No, that looks a fair bit brighter than what I bought as "toxic green" G10. What I've got here is really more like pea soup green than lime green. I'm thinking this color looks like avocado green...but then, I am in Califronia. *Clarifying for those who live somewhere else, the inside of ...

Knife Sharpening Phenomenon?

I have noted what appear to be strike marks on my blades when sharpening with stones using my Lansky (my WEPS isn't here yet). They look akin to high speed particles in a cloud chamber--all different angles. My initial theory is that small particles break off the stone at high velocity and scrape al...

I'm in california and it takes about 4-5 days for me, blame the USPS I suppose. It's because you live in the middle of nowhere. :p Even the USPS has to use Google Earth to find you. Now if you lived in the big city like Hesperia where I am, you'd get it in 2-3 days, without fail, like I do. :D I lo...
