Welcome Emece, next purchase should be the 204 sharpmaker. What good is a quality knife if you can't keep it sharp. I think the bite is very poisionous, and Spyderco sells the anti venon one knife at a time.

My vote is for the Sage with CF. Love mine!

I will mark the the edge with a sharpie, then start sharpening with the 30 degree angle until the marker is removed from the edge. If one edge is shiny and the other is not, I will work on the side that still has marker on it until it is shiny. Then I will set the rods at the 40 degree angle and ...

Got some diamond rods for my sharpmaker today and all I can say is WOW. They made short order of getting my old knives back to the right angle fast. Then just a few swipes with the other rods and scary sharp. Thanks Sal for a great product.

Get a dragonfly 2 G-10 with VG-10 steel and a sharpmarker, about $140.00. I've got the sharpmaker, would not be without it. I'm getting the dragonfly 2 for Christmas. I mark the edge of my blade with a sharpie marker, and I sharpen one side until the marker is gone down to the edge, then start the order side. When the marker is gone on both sides down to the edge, I go to the ceramics. When on the ceramics, one stroke per side until sharp.
