There is something about the Breeden Rescue and how it feels like it floats open. That's what made me start looking for Japan made liner locks. It might be because of the thicker blade near the tip or ...

I was a tip up, deep pocket carry guy before my first Millie, (and didn't really like blades much over 3" in a folder). Now I'm a tip down, stick way out of the pocket, big honking 4" blade guy. :D Yeah, it's that good.

Just for clarity for all here, I believe that you're referring to the little pen-sized/pen-shaped torch. :) I have never used mine for that, but it should work - be careful of the side "exhaust" for the flame!!! :D

You know, I thought about using that once.... for about a second. :D Soldering ...

And depending on the type of loctite and your soldering iron temps, it can take a while to break the loctite. I've held one on the pivot screw for 5 minutes before (wasn't a Spyderco).
