A day late & a dollar short: I saw my first Kiwi years ago at a local knife store. It was a beautiful knife, but it didn't appeal to me at the time. Now when they are no longer being made, I want one. The newer Kiwi doesn't appeal to me. I saw one advertised for sale on the Internet a few months...

Taiwan Spydercos: I have a Chaparral mfg in Taiwan. The fit, finish, edge and materials are first rate. However, with the economy, all the mfg jobs this country has lost, the high unemployment rate, I am supprised that after making millions from American customers, that Sal follows the herd and star...

C152CFP Box & papers

On my weekly visit to my local knife store I spied a Spyderco Chaparral in the showcase. The size and carbon fiber scales caught my eye. Upon handling it,the flat handle felt real confortable. It has a very nice edge, but the clip was missing. I traded a Baby Goddard and an off brand knife for it. I...

Spyderco Goddard Baby C20

Was curious to know how many "Baby Goddard" knives were produced.
Its a number thats hard for the layperson to deduce because of the number or sprint runs.

Thanks,

An old man's dream knife

A Goddard C20BGMPS pumped up to the Drangonfly 2 dimensions, no clip. 1.The Goddard C20 is one of the most beautiful knives with the burgandy micarda scales. 2. The blade profile with the small spyderco hole is the most symmetrical of any Spyderco knife. 2. The Dragonfly 2 dimensions are perfect for...

I had several ladybugs over the years and always enjoyed them (some prefere small knives).
I was going to get a manbug until the local store owner showed me the dragonfly 2.

Pretty neat Blev...gives me an idea what it would look like. I love the drop point blades.
I'm an older guy that finds smaller knives to my liking. So to buy a bigger knife to get a
drop point would be counter productive.

Thanks Blev.........

I have the Dragonfly 2 FRN VG10. Its razor sharp out of the box. For the average user I feel ZDP189 and G-10 are a waste of money if price concerns you.

I have had various models over the years. Now that I am older and don't carry, I was looking for a nice "desk" knife. Had a ladybug for several years. When I saw the first Dragonfly2, I traded on the spot and haven't regreted it. The DF 2 is the only one I own. The only way I would buy ano...

Have carried the Ladybug for over a year. As an older guy was very satisfied with it. Only problem I had was it popping out of my pocket while in my car rummaging thru my pockets. I would get in the house and would be emptying my pockets....no ladybug. Would go to my car and there it would be lying ...

I bought a 4 rod lansky turnbox over 20 years ago. It has handled all my sharpening needs. If I was buying a sharpener today, would have to go with Spydercos sharpener. Spyderco's has the flat ceramic rods vs Lansky's round ones. I keep my knife sharp. A few strokes, and it will popp hairs off my ar...
