I see where you are going SQSAR. And it would seem counterproductive yes? to go to the very place where these knives are worshipped sounds like a deathwish . My goal is not to incur the wrath of the Spyderco loving hoards. I myself cannot seem to break free of the brand . I love their designs which ...

Both actually. I have good ones and I have not so good ones. I buy 2 of the same knife and they are very different. One tight as a vault , the other as loose as a $10 whore. Or with various cosmetic blemishes and such which i understand does not affect performance but when you get over $100 you shou...

My thoughts and frustrations with Spyderco

Ok, I lurk alot and say little. I enjoy these forums and have gleaned alot of useful info on here . I have had many Spydercos over the years. I think my first one was some 20 years ago. One of the early Delicas maybe? Though I have owned and used many other brands and styles of knives over this time...

Hey Fred thats cool!! Thanx for those links I had no idea how laser cutting worked or looked.

Still makes me wonder why they clean it up on some and not on other models. I wonder if SEKI doesnt do laser cutting? It just looks so crude and cheap

I handled an original liner version at an outdoor store. It is a nicely made knife . I could see no flaws and lock is indeed solid. It is indeed bigger in the hand ormore hand filling than it appears at first.

Kinda sucks they took out the liners

Yeah that's what I was starting to think . Are they still coming that way from Golden with other more recent models?

Maybe the Endura is seen as a more refined knife and the Manix more of a work horse? Although the Endura has always been described as a tactical knife in things I have read online.
