I personally don't think there is a difference in feel, at least in jeans, of the knives you mentioned. I usually carry a para 2 or delica & don't feel a difference because both knives are unnoticeable. My Emerson Traveler (smallest knife they make) is like 1/2 an inch wide & Spydercos feel like ...

I completely agree to the Tasman's usefulness. I use the **** out of mine everyday at the greenhouse/nursery that I work at. People ask to use my Tasman because it is a pocket chainsaw that I can put away wet. I'm sorry to hear about your family home.

Desert digi cam sounds really cool, though I would also buy a standard forest digi cam manix 2. It has to have a DLC blade since we're going camo here and I'd like a saber grind the most but would take any. VG 10 would be a good steel choice.
