The clicking bothered my wife, too. I had to make a choice. I'm going to miss her.

I resolve to finish my house this year. I started it 3 years ago and have yet to finish the door and window trim and the baseboards. In honesty, I should say that the shop was the first area to be completed. I also resolve to work less so I can have time to finish my house and enjoy my shop.

I've been carrying a grey Calypso for a couple of weeks now and I agree its a great little EDC. I was just thinking about how many times its been out of my pocket today. First, I used it to open a dog food bag. Then to open the package for the new towel bar I installed, the package of replacement ...

I'm a construction inspector and I've carried a Rescue of one type or another for many years. I had one of my oldest (remember the one-piece molded clip?) stolen off the dash of my pickup. A few months ago I lost one down a sewer manhole and made the agonizing decision not to "fish" for it.

Need a Para-military

Who has a good price on para-millies? I think I just have to get one of those. I checked New Graham but they are sold out of the PE's.

Glad to hear the cat is safe. I carry a rescue too and I can attest to its use in cutting drywall. I've used mine a couple of times in a pinch, although not highly recommended for that purpose. Great knives. Thanks for sharing the story.

I carry a rescue daily and I don't think a small hole or two would do any harm as you want to do. Forget the hand drill though. That could be dangerous unless the knife is held tightly with a vise. If you know someone with a drill press see if you can use it. A drill press will allow you to hold it ...

I use a product in my machine shop called Super Lube. It comes in a 1/4 oz. pen-type applicator. According to the package it contains PTFE, which bonds to the surface of the metal and it is non-toxic and waterproof. In addition to my knives I use it on tools like my radial drill, milling machine and ...

When I'm forced to work in the office (which I hate) I used to carry my trusty Toad. It's a little more people friendly but still very useful. One day I was working with one of the women from the front office to get a project out. I reached into my pocket and pulled out my Toad to open a box. She ...

Not a lot of free time. I work away from home 3-4 days a week, but when I'm home I spend most of my time in my shop. I've been building and equipping a complete machine and mechanic shop for about five years. I'm just about finished but I just need a few more tools. I'm working on restoring a 1935 ...

Bought a SE 440V at the old factory outlet store in Golden many, many years ago at a father's day blowout sale. It's still my favorite "walking the dog in the woods knife". I carry my 9mm Glock, extra clip, ARC flashlight and Military in my hip pack. Everything else is fluff.

I travel extensively by air. These days you really have to be careful not to draw attention to yourself with knives in your luggage. Serrated knives especially. I always pack mine in my shave kit with my ARC flashlight rather than loose in a bag, in case the bag is searched. Smaller knives draw less ...
