I love Spydercos but the Lobster just looks wrong. Anso/Boker Haddock and Cox got that maritime vibe going bigtime.

The more time I spend with my FRN Stretch the more I like this FRN stuff. Lightweight and tough, it's my favorite so far for a knock around knife.

For a fancier blade I like satin finished wood. Ironwood in particular is really tough and beautiful.

I've been messing with "lanyards" a bit the last few weeks. My conclusion is their primary function is ornamental. Also, I'd consider the examples pictured above fobs rather than lanyards. That said, I've been trying to replicate this fob that Creepo has posted. The snake knot is driving m...

Mrs. Sepulveda maybe understands this Spyderco infatuation after spending some time with my ZDP189 Stretch. She made the comment, "I wish these guys made everything!"

Speaking of kitchen knives has anybody (that keeps their kitchen blades really sharp) ever had one of those Cutco Cutlery kids come over and do a demonstration?

God those people are obnoxious.

FRN Stretch zdp189

I'm not a collector, over the last 20 years I've only owned four Spydercos...two Delicas, one Worker and now my blue Stretch.

The Stretch is just right.

I love my blue stretch too. It doesn't disappear into my pocket but it is very light and when in the hand it feels like a real knife. Thanks for the tip on the UF rods.

PS Cutting limes with salt nearby was one of the first jobs thrown at my Stretch as well.

Mine replaced a Mini-Griptilian so I would say it is a big EDC knife for me. Alot more blade, not much more weight. I really like it.

Man I was just starting to think my FRN Stretch was about as perfect is it could be. The Blue FRN has kind of grown on me and somehow it feels...warmer than G10. But man that's a beautiful knife. How much does it weigh now? This Stretch has seen plenty of use and pocket time. Granted, it's a bit of ...

I remember 7th grade metal shop. The teacher told us in no uncertain terms we absolutely could not make any weapons in that class. Instead we would start out by doing assigned projects. The first two assigned projects were: 1. BBQ fork 2. Letter opener. The stuff that sprang forth from our fevered 1...
