Larger knives

As I get older, I seem to prefer larger blades. I thought it was supposed to go the other way with "gentleman" in the description. I like my new Military as much as my ParaM 2 . I like my Caly 3.5 better than the Caly 3 that I gifted to my friend. I like my Native 5, but it justs seems small now. My ...

I thought my GB was sharp, but the Manix 2 is scary sharp out of the box.

2 more for Retirement

I'm 40 days away from retirement and thought I would add 2 Spyderco's as a gift from me before a fixed income sets in. They arrived today. Paramilitary 2- CPM S90V, ser# 13* Manix 2- CPM M4, ser# 1* These will go nicely with my current: Sage 2, Gayle Bradley and Caly 3. These 5 will serve me well to ...

Do you whittle or carve?
I whittle. I have a Helvie with two Goodman knives being built.

I am also having a Sugar Creek whittler and an Adventuresworn carver

if you are familiar with those bushcraft customs.

I edc'd the Gayle Bradley today. What a knife.

:D :D You're gonna really like the Sage 2 I was down to about 6 Spyderco knives. I have been focusing on custom fixed blades and whittling knives. The Sage 2 has an excellent feel and I might be gifting my Caly 3 because of it. The Gayle Bradley locks up great, but I knew it was going to be a ...

I was mindin' my own business

Saturday morning
Gun & Knife show in town
Entry fee: Two for $5 during 1st hour.

Picked up a Case Sodbuster for a friend.

Almost made it out the door

Bought a Sage 2 and a Gayle Bradley M4

Both are scary sharp

So much for downsizing.

Para-Military 1.5

Well, I got a little tired of watching my hometown college football team get beat so I took out my modicum of angst on my new Para Military that I bought at the gun show a few weeks ago. I disassembled  , cleaned, oiled and reassembled it. The blade is much straighter. The detent is still very ...

My spare knife in the office desk drawer is a Ladybug. I have had it a long time.

Other guys laugh at it. They don't laugh at the Caly 3.

I am happy with the Para with Digi-Camo and I would rather get the Military next.

I have nothing against the the P2.

Good idea. Now I have an excuse to buy another one,

even though I already keep the ParaMil behind the

truck passenger seat.

I am looking at my current group of Spyderco knives and I am going to rate the Caly 3 as a 9.675 on the Jefe scale.

It just does so many things right.

I rate ergonomics nearly as high as the blade in determining a great knife and it has to be a blade that I use.

Military vs Para-Military Poll

While reading another blade forum (hint) , I noticed a Spyderco sub-forum and many of you are aware of an ongoing "favorite 3 Spyderco's" thread. The Military and the Para-Military seem to be highly thought of. I bought the Para with Digicamo last week and my only beef is the tip down carry but I ...
